Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Picked up this one from one of the previous stuff your kindle days. It was a quick read and a good palate cleanser. There was a lot going on: high schoolers, reality tv, fake dating. All the kids go to a tennis academy and one of the owners/coaches runs off with the school’s money?? Overall it was cute.

I have recently been getting into cozy mysteries. Let me have all the mystery with none of the hard intensity. Baby all I can say was the plot was twisting. I did not see that coming.

Phil Stamper never ceases to amaze me with his writing. I read Golden Boys and loved it, so I decided to pick this one up. Nothing hits like a good YA book.

I need book two! This Little Town is a YA thriller chock full of plot twists and suspense. In no way was this book predictable. I didn’t see the ending coming at all. If you are a fan of mystery and thrillers or if you’re wanting something a bit on the darker side this one might be for you.
For my audiobook girlies who like to speed up their audio, the narrator's voice was perfect. I usually listen to my audiobook between 1.2 and 1.75x speed. When you speed up the audio, it doesn't sound choppy or distorted.

This felt like a good continuation of the series. I feel like sometimes books rush into the happily ever after. I liked seeing Calla and Jonah struggling to find their footing in their relationship. It was real. Moving to a new city, buying a house, building a new relationship. None of that stuff is easy, but they did it together.

Calla Fletcher was two when her mother left her father and the Alaskan wild behind. Twenty-six years later she gets the shock of a lifetime when her father reaches out to her to let her know he has cancer. With his days numbers, Calla makes the decision of a lifetime and travels to Alaska to reconnect with her dying father.
Jonah, a quiet and brooding pilot who works for Calla’s father, can’t imagine living anywhere other than Alaska. He’s convinced that Calla won’t last a week in the wild. With Calla determined to prove him wrong. It would be foolish for Calla to fall in love with a pilot after all of the pain it caused her mother, right?
I loved this book! Seeing Calla build that relationship with her father and coming to know and love him brought tears to my eyes. Something about this book spoke to the little girl who desperately wanted to know her father and didn’t know how. If you've ever been estranged from your parents and have struggled to find your way back to them; even if you didn’t think it was possible, this one’s for you.

I liked this book. It felt like there was an air of mystery surrounding this book. I think it has some elements that would be fun in a tv adaptation.

This book was a lot darker than the other two. It might be considered a YA books, but I would say it is for older/more mature YA audiences.
Moderate: Drug use, Kidnapping, Stalking, Murder
