Sweet story, a little bit spooky, a little bit weird, a little bit old-timey. Nice package!

Kind of interesting in spots, especially for a science geek like myself, but it did drag in spots. This guy can really get into the weeds on esoterica!

I really want to like his books, but they I have a hard time feeling connected to the story. It is just a little bit off a comfortable narrative - seems like a bit too much work.

I like his hard science fiction, so I wasn't sure if I would like this one. I wasn't crazy about the main character and I didn't really like the supernatural finish.

I really liked the idea of this one and enjoyed the first half quite a bit. The second half seemed to lag a bit when they started wandering in the wilderness.
