I needed a lighthearted, fun book like this. I thought it was sweet, capitalized on some tropes, and overall just made for a very fun book. I felt there was good representation, and the side characters were more dimensional (sometimes side characters can be very boring and flat) and added a lot of value to the book.

If you enjoy occult themes, witches, and mysteries, this has it all. Personally, it was not my cup of tea, but I can understand those who want more of a ~spooky~ vibe to enjoy this much more. I think this is a good Halloween-type book. Nothing was truly "scary" in my opinion, but definitely had some creepy elements. Maybe don't read it at night if you have a vivid imagination and don't sleep well? I think what made this feel not scary to me was the main characters being high schoolers - it made me feel like things were generally going to be okay in one way or another?

I enjoyed this book! It had elements of The Midnight Library and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, and since I enjoyed both of those, it was pretty likely that I would enjoy this as well. I would like to point out that this is still a very different book from both of those, and it deserves its own accolades. I thought the story was fascinating, and the tie up at the end seemed well thought out and executed - sometimes things can feel too "neat" and I did not feel that way about this book.

This was a good continuation of the Guardians of Dawn series. I found it captivating, easy to get back in the world, and overall a good story. I enjoyed meeting new characters and how they connected to the main characters, as well as some of the recurring characters!

This was an intriguing book. It took me a bit to figure out how it was all going to, for lack of a better word, become more coherent? But, that's more of a statement on me than the author. There's layers here, and peeling them back in a specific way lends a lot of value to how the story weaves together.

This book showcases an eclectic group of people with chapters from different POVs. I thought it was an overall interesting book, and the setup worked well for me. I found this to be a solid mystery, and I did enjoy learning about the characters and the community they created. If there's another book with these characters, I would definitely pick it up.

Again, always enjoyable short stories

I enjoy these short stories, interesting perspectives regarding getting to see someone one more time

Very enjoyable, grief was a main focus of the book but it wasn’t too aggressive in my opinion

An interesting spin on a Sherlock-style caper with fantasy
