This might have been better for me to read versus hear, so if there’s a reread, might get a higher rating

Katherine Center is one of those authors whose work I just enjoy picking up. Overall, I enjoyed this book. Was it my favorite by the author? No, but that doesn't detract from the fact that this is a solid book. If I had to complain, it felt like there was maybe one too many forced situations/tropes? The characters are fun, the story develops and grows in a good way, and I was thoroughly entertained.

While this was my first book in the Rip Through Time series, I thought it was pretty good! I appreciated that the author put in a summary section at the beginning in case this was the first one you picked up, or if it had been a while since you had read some of the series. I'm generally not the biggest fan of historical timelines, but again, I enjoyed this one - to the point where I want to pick up the previous 3 books. I liked the relationships between the characters and how the story developed.

This was a fun book. I think it was an homage to food, and it met that requirement. I thought both main characters grew in a healthy way! While I understand the main character's (Isabella's) ambition, she thankfully never lost her humanity throughout this book and her interactions with Molly, although there was a time she was close to being a bit more of a brat. I'm happy I read this, and it was quite enjoyable.

This was a fun way to jump back into The Pacifica Resort series! Lizette is a formidable character and Ben seems to be able to meet her at her level. While Lizette has a LOT going on in her life, I think this book showed some great character development and how challenging situations can sometimes bring out either the best or worst in people. I think there's a good amount of growth, and it was great to come back to the characters from the series!

This took me a little to get into, but I thought this was an interesting world and concept!

I like me a spy novel. This was well done!

Generally not a historical romance person, but I liked how these characters developed.

This was a very good fantasy book! While it is set in modern times, there are fantasy elements. I think this set up the duology very well. Additionally, I think the book took a little bit of time to set up, but I think it was needed for this YA book. I am invested in the characters and their chances to either continue their fate, or make a change for the better. The premise was cool, and I will definitely be picking up the second book when it comes out!

This was an interesting book. I think I lost sight of the plot here and there, but overall, just not really my favorite.
