Not my favorite EmHen, but she writes well

I liked the way the information was delivered. I found it relatively easy to follow along, and felt I learned a good amount in how to support and ensure everyone feels valued and appreciated.

This was a feel good book that I needed. Just delightful.

This is a delightful graphic novel. I enjoyed learning about Sarah and Ping - the whole story of foreigners in the same place (Paris), a chance meeting, and their friendship develops into something more. I appreciated how the theme of languages is woven throughout the book - I liked the exposure to the different languages in the background, and even between Sarah and Ping, with their own language consisting of French, English, and Cantonese. I think the novelist did a great job communicating this story in a beautiful fashion.

This book had an interesting concept about the afterlife. A quick description mentions "For fans of The Good Place", and it definitely has that type of style. Mari, in the afterlife, is in an in-between state called Paradise Gate. It seems straightforward enough - earn enough points to show you've grown and then you can ascend. However, things are never as simple as they seem, and is Mari willing to find out what's going on behind the curtain?

I found this book entertaining. I don't think it ever fully sucked me in, but it was pretty solid overall. I thought the story was done well, and I did care about the characters and their development. I think this book could have been drawn out a bit more for detail in certain areas, but I wouldn't say it detracted from the book - more of I wanted a little more information about certain topics.

Guess what? Still good storytelling

Still enjoyed the storytelling!

Not sure of the last time I picked up a comic book prior to this, but I enjoyed the storytelling!

This was a fun, generally lighthearted romance! With nonbinary representation and a friends-to-lovers trope, along with plenty of learning about past pining, I thought Ginny and Elsie were enjoyable characters. I think the book did a good job of underlining the point that we all deserve happiness, and sometimes, you just need to ask for it.
