I think I would have benefitted if I read this along with the audiobook! Poetry can sometimes be challenging for me, and following along may have helped me appreciate it more.

This was my first foray into Peter Maxwell, and overall, I enjoyed it! The book took a little bit of time for me to get into, and I think that was mainly due to the fact that this is 22 in the series, but was the first one I picked up. I enjoyed getting to know the characters - there were a lot of them, but again, if you've read the other books, I'm sure the names would have been familiar to you! I think I'll pick up some of the earlier books in this series because of how much I appreciated this one.

Wow.
I devoured this book. I admire the author's storytelling. I have only read one of her books previously and that one resonated with me, and this book did the same. That goes to show that I really need to dive into more of her books.
I found the story of the Griffin sisters so immersive and the way the story all folded together was incredible. While you get some bits and pieces, as you go along, you get more and more information that got me personally thinking back to previous segments and adding that extra layer of nuance. That component is what I found the most compelling and enjoyable about this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow for the ARC!

The Other Lata was a great way to get a glimpse of how the "other half" lives. Lata is the recipient of some emails that must be for someone else, but on a whim, she clicks accept on the invite and fakes it until she makes it, so to speak. However, there's always some drama, and will Lata's facade crumble down under pressure?
This was another book that I just dove into, and it was woven together in such an entertaining manner. I plan to check out the author's backlist as I enjoyed this one as much as I did.

This was an enjoyable book! To me, it was easy to be warped into the character's world - I loved the idea of knowing when someone is your true love. I was able to understand the characters easily, which added to the higher rating. This was a book that helped me get out of a little bit of a slump and was lighthearted enough, but still enough substance to hit on some larger issues without feeling forced.

Good audiobook - some tough content
Graphic: Child abuse, Emotional abuse, Physical abuse
Moderate: Racism, Suicidal thoughts
This book wasn't really for me. I liked the National Treasure premise, but it just didn't feel right to me. I understand suspending disbelief in order for things to make more sense in fictional worlds, but I couldn't get past how much I needed to just let things happen in order for the plot and book to make sense.
Additionally, upon reading other reviews, this book has been pulled from publication and there is controversy around the author. I am leaving this review because I received this ARC in exchange for a review from NetGalley and St. Martin's Press/St. Martin's Griffin.

Not my favorite by Ali Hazelwood, but still a solid book. I can't point to anything specific that would have made me rate it higher, just a personal preference.
