This is a sweet romance. Julie and Randall used to be friends, but a family feud meant the end of their friendship. A school project forces them to work together, and the question is whether they can mend not only their relationship but also one between their families. Romeo and Juliet-inspired, this is also a love letter to Korean and Taiwanese food. I thought the story was well-written, and I liked the character development.

She's the queen of mystery for a reason. Good audiobook, fun to listen to
Pretty solid book. I think there was a bit of a need for suspension of belief, but that's all good
There’s a lot going on, but well crafted. I was just a little off from being completely pulled into the book, and I think that would give it a higher rating as I would have followed the story a bit better.

This was a fascinating book. I enjoyed the premise of the time travel, and the goals to reclaim things lost to ancient history. There is plenty of intrigue to keep your guessing and wanting to keep reading. I think there is plenty of opportunity to expand the series, which I would be one of the bigger supporters of that idea. I'm very glad I picked this up, and here's to hoping there's another in the series in the future!

A good mystery - I think there was a lot of side information that I didn't need, but definitely helps set the relationships around the detective.
