I do not generally have an interest in Shakespeare so that element of the book did not add anything extra for me, however the author had me hooked from the beginning by starting with the main character being released from prison then flashing back to learn how he ended up there. It was an okay mystery with mostly despicable characters but none the less it had me reading to the very end.
“You have to make the best of whatever story you were born into, and if your story happens to suck ass, well, maybe you can do some good before you go.”
― Alix E. Harrow, A Mirror Mended
I think I actually liked this second installment of Harrow's Fractured Fables even more than the first, it is funny and clever, with more than a little sarcasm thrown in. I love that you are asked to consider and explore how everyone - good or bad, has their own story and we shouldn't just assume everyone needs saved from it.
It seems like this is the last of Zinnia's adventures, which is unfortunate but they were fun while they lasted.

I found this book to be a nice easy lighthearted read, cute story, a fun cast of characters, but ultimately just wont be that memorable. Good for a little escape if you need one!
