Cute! Not enough conflict for me, but overall cute.

Meh. Started off super slow, and I wasn't sure I was going to keep going. The ending did kind of make me question things, but this is certainly not something I need to re-read to follow up on my thoughts. Positive note: I checked this off my TBR.

So good! This is the 2nd Lisa Jewell book I’ve read, and I can say I’m impressed with her books. The twist is revealed maybe 3/4 of the way through the book, and I was still hooked to find out more. Looking forward to my next LJ read!

I misread one of my reading challenge prompts as “cozy mystery” rather than “cozy vibes”. This has been on my radar for years, but I never wanted to commit. It’s not the most well-written book I’ve listened to, and the narrator initially bothered me. But, overall, it was a cute, cozy mystery.

I’ve put off reading this, and I don’t know why. This book is beautifully written, and the Anishinaabemowin throughout adds to the beauty. I can’t recommend this enough.

I really enjoyed the quips that denote the LGBTQIA+ community. Subtle things that I found hilarious, but that the general layperson may not. I wasn’t a super fan of the narration, but being read by the author added more to the depth of the story.

I may become a McFan yet. It’s not often anymore that I simultaneously can’t pin the perp / fall for the red herrings, but I did not guess this twist. I might’ve gotten there eventually, but the circumstances around that particular person were not at all something I considered. Good book!

Cute, but didn't hook me as much as other graphic novels have. I enjoyed the whole villains-POV aspect, and the small hints of LGBTQ+ love (that part is so small and barely mentioned, but the hints had an "aww" factor).

So adorable. And relatable- having to discover your career path and what makes your soul happy.
