Book 46- The Miracle Morning
Author- Hal Elrod

"Motivation is what gets you started
Habit is what keeps you going."

Before going to the review of this book, I have to tell that "Self-help" books aren't my Jam. I've read very few books only because they are very popular. Since November, I've been consciously taking an effort to bring some changes to my routine in the aspects of productivity, work-life balance. First thing I had to fix is my wake up routine. No matter how many alarms I keep, I'll happily hit the snooze button and sleep. So I started checking books that would help to become a "Morning Person" from "Night Owl"...This is the book I've found or this is the book that found me.

The author's life went upside down after a terrible accident and he was in coma. He wanted to transform his life and he followed so many techniques which helped him to achieve his goal. He has listed down all the effective techniques that he had followed under the title "SAVERS"

S- Silence (Mediation)
A- Affirmations
V- Visualization
E- Exercise
R- Reading
S- Scribbing

He has mentioned how to set our mind before going to bed and how to wake up earlier, and what we are going to do for the first one hour of our morning. Check the second image in the post, that's the routine the author has suggested..the same routine can be done in one minute as well if you are too busy to give 60 minutes for yourself.

The point is he has made it easier for all kind of people. Let me be honest and tell you the fact that you don't have to even completely read this book, the summary in blog pages are more than enough, because he has explained everything with examples and scenarios. If you're someone who don't like such deep elaborations, refer Miracle Morning summary in Youtube, which is more than enough.

Also, if you've read so many self help books already, You might not like this..it might fall under "very basic" category for you.

I liked all the techniques mentioned in this book and been following this routine for more than a week now, I could see the difference at so many level. Who knows, it might create an impact on you as well!

Sometimes, Life's all about doing what's RIGHT,not what's EASY! New year is almost around the corner, why wait till Jan 1 to start something new?

Remember
"If you want your life to be different, you must be willing to do something different first!"

Book 53- The Kiss Quotient
Author- Helen Hoang

"I've had to fight for every success in my life, and I'm going to fight for this."

Stella Lane, a successful and an aspiring Data analyst who happens to have Asperger's syndrome. For Stella, Calculus is easy than love, romance.. Mathematics comes naturally to her, but for the other things, she needs to put efforts. Stella decides to hire a male escort to teach her how to be a good girl friend. They had a contract agreement, but they both fell for eachother in the meantime. What happened then is the plot.

The Writing is so so so darn good. It's very hard to believe that it's her Debut Novel. Romantic, sexy and heart warming novel. The plot is very engaging and fast paced. I would recommend this book to everyone who want to read something light, romantic. With this book, Helen talks about the syndrome which was not much discussed before in fiction book. This book made my heart so full. Ok Bye!

Book 39 to 42- Heartstopper Vol 1 to 4
Author- Alice Oseman

"Love can’t cure a mental illness. There are lots of ways to help him, you can just be there. To listen. To talk. To cheer him up if he’s having a bad day. And on the bad days you can ask what you could do to make things easier. Stand by his side, even when things are hard. But also knowing that sometimes people need more support than just one person can give. That’s love darling.”

The above passage-That's the reason why I love this book so much, for putting out the truth right there. Alice Oseman writing is heart warming and brilliant.

This is the first ever graphic novel I've read. Little did I know that emotions could be conveyed without writing lot of words. I'd definitely recommend this book to even non-readers. This book is a experience, you'll learn so much about LGBTQ+ Community, their emotions, mental health and everything else. Nick and Charlie relationship is pure goals. Everyone deserve a Nick in their life.

I'm really excited for the last and final volume of this series and also for the Netflix adaptation. This book is a comfort hug from a good old friend. Heartstopper is my home and my comfort read
