The Manchineel by Jessica Carrasquillo

I loved the book . It was awesome. I was not expecting the twist. The beginning was a little boring but halfway through I was enjoying it. Even though Elyse is a killer ,I couldn't hate her. I rather find her as strong minded woman capable of protecting her loved ones by any means. She is a morally grey character.
ANGRY JUNGLEE BOSSES by Cross
4.0
Angry Junglee Bosses is a very funny book about animals who works in offices. It is about the crazy world of corporate life, told through the eyes of animals. The story is set in a world where animals have taken over after the extinction of humans after Covid-19. Fox is the protagonist. He is a new employee in the We feed ya office, and through him, the author shows us the technologies and works of the company. He meets Himalayan Bear (HB) in the office as they are both new employees. They both become close friends. Fox is a passionate and hardworking animal. But he dislikes working under someone. Throughout the story we can see how Fox handles different works passed to him. He had faced betrayal, and backstabbing and was also lied to. It clearly shows office politics. Even though there are good people, there still exist those toxic insecure people who harass their juniors and subordinates.
I find all the technologies used by them fascinating. The names mentioned in the story like Taylor the Swift, Ed Sheep-an, Tom Goose, etc were funny. Reading this book was like watching a cartoon. This was a new experience for me.
For those who like cartoons and animals, I recommend this to you

I read this right after finishing the first book. The ending got me thinking . I was on the edge of my seat. I like listening to crime podcasts so reading this was just like listen to a podcast. The book is so good that I couldn't stop reading. The last few chapters were so so good that I can't stop thinking about it.
