Every Summer After by Carley Fortune

MIL coming in clutch with an excellent recommendation that I basically tore through in a day.
I think I loved it extra because it reminded me so much of Meet Me at Midnight which was easily my favorite read this summer.

How to Walk Away by Katherine Center
5.0
OK Y’ALL. I’m officially a Katherine Center Fan-For-Life 🧡 This was my second novel of hers—and I absolutely adored it. This was a tough subject but the way she wrote about it was so uplifting. I loved our main girl Maggie. I felt what she felt. I cheered her on and I empathized when she was ready to give up. I especially adored the quirkiness that I’m starting to learn is a KC trademark. Definitely add this to your TBR!

I don't know if I'll ever not love a Jeeves book. The perfect escape from reality.
Where I Can't Follow by Ashley Blooms
4.0
In Where I Can’t Follow, Ashley Blooms uses a fantastical prose to bring to light the horrors that plague Eastern Kentucky and the Appalachian region. It’s a heavy subject that she wrote about with a lighter hand, drawing you into the story to see it in a new way.
