From page 1, I was so, so in on this fun read, it’s insane. Spurned wife and best friend make a revenge pact on a cheating, narcissistic a-hole? Sign me up.

Eva and Ethan are both so similar, but so different at the same time, and from their first interaction you could clearly tell that beneath their frenemies relationship, there was much more.

Eva is incredibly driven and knows exactly what she wants, but her self-doubt and tunnel vision make her relatable at the same time. Ethan is not your typical insta-billionaire type MMC, and I truly enjoyed reading about one that did something more charitable with their money for a change.

Excited to see what else Brooke comes up with in this new series.

Billionaire CEO? βœ… Fake relationship? βœ… Slow burn? βœ… Age gap? βœ…

Here πŸ‘ for πŸ‘ it πŸ‘

I had so much fun with this fake dating romance from start to finish. The dynamic between our MCs is *chefs kiss.* Their back and forth had be cackling at so many points.

The chemistry this author created while also illustrating the need both characters have for their freedom and validation is wonderful.

I am looking forward to reading more from this author!

This book is a battle of traditional vs. modern, and while I don't typically go for sweet romances, I'm glad I gave this one a chance. Our FMC's family doesn't quite understand who she is - and her experiences with the MMC give her the opportunity to help put that into terms everyone can understand.

Welp. Looks like I’m in my βœ¨π‘ π‘π‘œπ‘Ÿπ‘‘π‘  π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘šπ‘Žπ‘›π‘π‘’ π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘Žβœ¨ and I have zero qualms about it. Zero. Qualms.

Evan Zanders? Might be fighting for current top book boyfriend. Fake bad boy but IRL a giant freakin cinnamon roll. Stevie Shay? Easily one of my favorite FMCs to date. Confident but also fully aware of her insecurities as a plus size woman in today’s society. 10/10 pairing, highly recommend.

This book is gratuitous in both its body positivity and emphasis on the importance of therapy and mental health in general, which I feel is so needed in today’s climate. One of the best things about Zee and Vee, IMO, is their ability to call each other on their crap after years of spotting the same habits in themselves.

The family dynamics in this were great, well explored for a single book. The spice is also top notch, it was well-peppered but frequent enough that I considered it a 4/5 spice level.

Was it longer than even most fantasy epics? Yes. Would I have read more if it was longer? Also yes.

Elle Kennedy is an auto-buy author for a lot of people, and I totally understand why. This book had so much fun banter in it that I just kept turning the page for my next laugh.

This friends-to-lovers small town romance features sweet main characters. Cassie in particular is kind in a way that a lot of FMCs are not.

The twist in this will have you on the edge of your seat!

It's been a while since I read a YA book so grounded in a familiar world, but this definitely made the career-oriented high schooler in me very happy! These main characters are trying to figure out their place in the world, and their journey doing just that is a wonderful experience. Thoroughly enjoyed this easy read.
