4⭐️ Loved the intensity!
Absolutely LOVED the banter, fire, and passion between Josh and Jules! I laughed so much! So fucking good! I also loved seeing Josh and Jules' personal conflicts they had to overcome. Obviously, everything would work out, and I knew it would, but there were a few moments my heart literally stopped because it was so sad and painful to see them fighting /struggling near the end.
They truly said some unforgivable things to one another but it’s true that sometimes the ones who know you the best know how to hurt you the most. But I’m glad they worked it out.

3⭐️ Better than book 1 because I like the MCs more but slow
I actually really like Bridget and Rhys, such great chemistry. I also enjoyed their own personal struggles and seeing them work through them alone and together.
However, this story dragged on so much that by the end I was skimming to finish. And, I called every single plot twist and revelation. I swear this is the exact plot in a Hallmark film. I kept having moments where I was like, “this is going to happen because I swear I’ve seen/read this before” and then it happened. So if anyone know a movie with a similar storyline, let me know because I’m losing my mind trying to figure it out!
Maybe that’s what made me skim the end because there wasn’t any exciting conflict since I saw it all coming.
I still am enjoying the series though and can’t wait to read the next book!

3 ⭐️ I liked everything and everyone in this story except for the MMC, Alex
Honestly, I don’t know if this is the right rating because I read it quickly and will read the next one but the relationship between Alex and Ava was so unbelievable I just didn’t really get it.
Alex goes from a sweetheart to a psychopath within seconds and that’s really hard for me to get on board with. If I were Ava, I’d eventually get annoyed with his possessive BS. He legit becomes her stalker at the end to prove his love and it works.

3.5 ⭐ Read this book if you’ve been traumatized by purity culture and you enjoy spicy romance.

4.5 ⭐️ Oh my stars!!!!! READ THIS NOW!!!
“You've been trying not to sleep at night to avoid me," he whispers. "Meanwhile, Eliza, all I want to do is sleep, because that's the only place I can have you."
-
Imagine you've been dreaming of someone for years. You've never met this person, but whenever you fall asleep, you spend those hours connecting on a deep emotional and physical level. No one in the universe knows you as they do, loves you as they do. But every day, you wake up, remember it’s all just a dream, and continue with your real life.
Now imagine one day, you actually see this person from your dreams. They’re a living, breathing human being that is standing in front of you, so close that you can touch them. But your life partner, someone you've planned a future with and love deeply, is also standing next to you. At the end of the day, who do you choose?
-
I read this book almost two months ago, and I STILL think about it daily! The intruiging premise coupled with the beautiful writing makes this story dreamlike, alluring, and romantic. I laughed, cried, smiled, blushed, hurt, and loved. This is a story I will never forget.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
✨ fated soulmates
✨ dream bond
✨ spaceship setting
✨ forced proximity
✨ book guy meets book girl
✨ character-driven romance
✨ poetic writing
✨ first-person omniscient narration
✨ shocking, emotional ending
✨ SO MUCH SPICE! 4/5

4 ⭐️ An unexpectedly sweet romance that will make your heart race and p*ssy throb
“Birthday wishes don’t always come true, so I don’t waste a chance when I blow out a candle.”
Summary:
When Jordan and her boyfriend Cole are kicked out of their apartment, Cole's estranged dad, Pike Lawson, invites them to stay at his house until they save up enough money. But it turns out Pike is the handsome stranger Jordan spent her 19th birthday with at the local movie theater because she was waiting for her deadbeat boyfriend to pick her up from work.
So as the three of them move in together, Pike tries to navigate the strained relationship with his son while Jordan tries to deal with her rocky relationship with Cole. But Cole would rather hide from his troubles at the bottom of a bottle and party with friends. So with Cole MIA, Jordan focuses on work and helping around the house and ends up spending time with Pike.
There was an instant connection from the moment Jordan (19) and Pike (38) met. However, any romance between them is forbidden. But how can you possibly stay away from the one person who sees you and makes you feel whole?
My Thoughts:
I’m honestly surprised I enjoyed this story so much! I thought this would be some sleazy taboo, age-gap romance, but it was far from it.
The characters are complex, and their struggles are depicted in a believable and relatable way. Jordan is a strong-minded, brave, and determined young woman who has had to fight for everything in her life. All she wants is a stable home, but life keeps beating her down. Cole is an impulsive, angry, careless young man trying to find his place in the world but is hurting those who love him the most. And Pike is a lonely, independent, hard worker who has given everything for his son but wants the one thing that would hurt his son the most. However, he was an absolute sweetheart and the perfect freaking MC. I love Pike!
The romance between Pike and Jordan is incredibly sweet! I was unsure if I would like this story. I can do age-gap and taboo, but falling for your boyfriend's dad while living together in his house...I was worried this would be a disaster. But honestly, their connection and the progression of their romance were so natural and real that I was 100% okay with it. Nothing remotely physical happened until she ended her relationship with Cole, and honestly, Cole is a POS, so I was not upset. If anything, I wanted her to break up with him sooner.
I was annoyed that it took Pike and Jordan FOREVER to get together. The definition of a slow burn. I mean, they didn't have sex till 70% of the way through the story! BUT the wait was worth it. This allowed ample time for these two to really connect and develop deep feelings. It's better for an author to take the time and build up the romance instead of rushing into it where it feels cheap or sleazy.
The epilogue was everything! I think this might be one of my favorite epilogues ever. So many stories end on a quick note, but this was exactly what we needed to end this complicated, beautiful story.

3 ⭐️ I didn't love it as much as the first book, but it was still entertaining and enjoyable
Trigger Warnings: suicide attempt, depression, a parent with cancer
Summary:
Garrett (36) is one of the owners of Salacious and has had a hard time connecting with anyone- physically and emotionally. He's a voyeur, and he's fine keeping it that way.
He's always seen Mia (23) as his bratty stepsister until one night when he accidentally finds her cam girl livestream and realizes he's really into it. And her.
They begin an online relationship under the guise of his fake identity while also getting closer in real life.
(Summary from Lindsey__er's review of Eyes of Me)
My Thoughts:
Once again, Sara Cate has gifted us with another sexy story that's full of heart. I enjoyed the forbidden romance (stepsibling/age gap), the spice, the sex-positivity, addressing mental health issues, Emerson being the best friend in the entire world, and Garrett and Mia's supportive parents.
I have never read a stepsibling romance before this, and I have to admit, it's still a little strange to me, but maybe stepsibling romance isn't quite my thing. However, I thought it was done well for a story like this.
I also really appreciated seeing Garrett's struggle with depression. It was heartbreaking but, at the same time, very eye-opening. Sara Cate did an excellent job addressing mental health in a healthy and respectful way. I only wish we would have gotten to explore this earlier in the book instead of waiting till the last 80%.
There were a few things I didn't quite like or understand about this story:
The subplots were a lot heavier than the one's in the previous book. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there's already so much angst with the forbidden romance that it made things even more dark and serious by including scenes with mental health issues or a parent's illness. I love deep stories, but to keep things a little more fun and light, I would have preferred if Sara Cate only wrote about one of those points.
Garrett was kind of a terrible boyfriend for 80% of the book, and Mia was incredibly desperate. But was this the intention? Mia was so desperate to be loved by Garrett that she let a lot of sh*t fly and didn't ask to be treated with respect. I guess that's part of her character growth, but it does take a long time for her to stand up for herself. By that point, though, I just wasn't really rooting for them.
I didn’t get the ‘love’ that Mia and Garrett seem to believe they've always had.
"Garrett and I aren't alike or compatible or kindred spirits - we are one. It's why the boundaries in our relationship were so confusing. Because I never hated him, and he never hated me, but the fire burned between us regardless. It was easier to pretend we were nothing more than stepsiblings when we didn't know how to label what this thing between us was. Now, we know it's love, and was always meant to be."
The age gap and stepsibling thing didn’t bother me until this paragraph. Because it makes it seem that while she was 10 and Garrett was in his 20s, that same level of love was there as there is now, and they were always meant to be. It just comes across as icky and weird. I think I understand what the author is trying to say, but it should have been worded differently.
Overall, this was a solid addition to the series. I really loved the forbidden romance, angst, spice, sex positivity, and how Sara Cate addresses mental health. I'm so excited for the next book!

1 ⭐️ Well, that’s 6 hours of my life I’ll never get back
This was my first time reading TL Swan, and most likely my last.
The first 1/4 of the book was fine, in fact, I enjoyed how they met and their first few interactions once she started working for him. But then it all went downhill for there. Here are the main reasons why I hated this book:
1. The dirty talk and some inner dialogue was so cringe. Half the shit they said is not actually sexy or said irl (or maybe it is, and if so…yikes). For example:
- “Is it weeping for me baby? I can feel your pulse in it.”
- “I could blow just by feeling this beautiful, hot pussy.”
- “I want you to blow your load in the car”.
- “Jameson Miles is my new drug. And I am his crack whore.”
- “Milk me, and show me who it belongs to.”
- Calling Emily his ‘fuck bunny’. How about fuck no!
2. The overall writing is bad. There’s so many repetitive words/phrases, the scenes are not very detailed and tend to jump fairly quickly from one to the next, and honestly, just overall elementary writing.
This is one example of the elementary writing in this book:
“He goes to London for a week today. He has meetings all week. We’ve had the most amazing weekend. We stayed here at my apartment the entire time.”
3. I couldn’t stand Emily.
First off, she’s a journalist but doesn’t act like one. She legitimately says, “I wouldn’t even know any celebrities.” You work in media, and you don’t know celebrities???
Also, she’s been dying to work on Miles Media for years and didn’t do her research as to who the CEOs were??? An actual journalist obsessed with getting a job at a specific company would have googled everything about the company. So she would have found info on the CEO and known what he looked like.
Second, for someone who says she doesn’t care about Jameson’s wealth, she brings it up all the time. She’s soooooo uncomfortable being around money that it feels like she's trying to make him feel guilty for it. At one point, she even says, “I would prefer you to be poor.” Why? If wealth doesn’t matter at all, why does she even have a preference at all?? I thought that was an incredibly rude thing to say. He works hard for his family and their success so her saying she wished he was poor seemed like she was diminishing his efforts.
Third, she googled Jameson's ex and met her in person. But when they break up the first time, she sees Jameson walking down the street with a woman who looks “vaguely familiar, but she just can’t place” and asks her friend who she is, to which she replies, “Claudia Mason.” Does Emily have amnesia or is she just a fucking idiot???? She met this woman before! This has to be a mistake on the author's part, right???
Fourth, she legit comes to some realization about her messed up relationship with Jameson after watching Magic Mike XXL…and she quotes the movie….to Jameson!!!! I can’t take this woman seriously.
Fifth, she decides to share private details about her life with co-workers she met two days ago. Why on earth would you admit that you’ve slept with the boss to anyone at work?? Let alone during your first week! Are you kidding? That’s stupid and risky. Anyone with a brain would NOT share this info with strangers!! Call your friends from back home! Oh wait, she apparently doesn’t have any. She’s a 25-year-old without any friends. Make that make sense.
4. Jameson is toxic AF. He is a stressed-out, borderline alcoholic, workaholic CEO who does not know how to manage his emotions properly. Multiple times he calls her a bitch throughout the story! And the gaslighting at the end?????? What the actual fuck? He smashed Emily’s heart into a million pieces, then decided he wanted her back, put in the minimal effort for a week, and then gave her a timeline and ultimatum to be with him. It was appalling to read. These people need to go to fucking therapy.
5. The proposal at the end was supposed to be cute and cheesy, but it was absolute shit. I still can’t believe she took him back. I hate them.
This is one of the worst books I’ve read in a while. The writing is awful, and the characters suck. I would not recommend this book.

2.5 ⭐️ Well that was interesting, but not necessarily in a bad way
Summary:
For years, Samantha and Adrian have been in love with each other, but are afraid to take things to the next level. When they were kids, Sam made a move and was friend-zoned which has stopped her from making further attempts. And Adrian is afraid his sexual needs will not be accepted by Sam, so he’d rather just keep her as a friend than lose her. But one day, the tension between them becomes too much and something snaps - forcing them to confront their feelings and cross the line from friends to lovers.
My Thoughts:
This is an extremely sexy friends-to-lovers novella with a few kinks thrown in the mix. It’s definitely more porn than plot, and if you know how I rate, I don’t usually go above 3-stars for this sort of story. BUT it’s entertaining for what it is, and if any of the things listed below interest you, then definitely give this a go!
✔️ Secret mutual pining
✔️ Friends to lovers
✔️ Primal Play
✔️ BDSM
✔️ 18+ smut
The main thing I didn’t understand and found distracting was Adrian’s insanely good sense of smell. Like he could scent her arousal from a few feet away. But this isn't a fantasy, paranormal, or sci-fi story, so how is that possible? He’s supposed to be a normal human guy, so the scenting aspect threw me off a little.
Also, they can’t play their sex games in public like that because eventually they’re gonna get caught by the police, and obviously having sex in public is against the law. So I'm not sure how they’re going to keep that up.
