4 ⭐ Love how Ruby Dixon keeps on world building!
Honestly, I wasn't mad at Bek. Maybe because we know the IPBs are good and the girls were slaves, so to me, it's almost like he saved 5 humans from being slaves and abused for the rest of their lives. However, I do understand why how he went about it was 'wrong' but I still stand by what he did.
I was also pleasantly surprised at how sweet Bek is as a mate. I mean, all the big blue guys are but he's definitely a softy underneath that rough exterior. I love it.
Also, poor Elly. Being taken when she was 13.

5 ⭐ Harrec is hysterical and so freaking adorable with Kate. I love them!
I laughed more in this book than the others in the Ice Planet Barbarian series.
Summary:
At 6ft tall, Kate is the largest of the human women stranded on Not-Hoth. You'd think she'd fit in on a planet full of 7ft tall aliens, but most of the other women are dainty and small, and there's one barbarian that always reminds her of her height - Harrec.
Harrec constantly teases Kate, which makes her uncomfortable and even more self-conscious. But what she doesn't know is Harrec is totally into her! Whenever Harrec makes comments about Kate's height, he's trying to flirt. Unfortunately, Kate's insecurities get in the way of seeing the truth.
After many failed attempts to win Kate's affections, Harrec devises a plan to get her alone the old-fashioned barbarian way by 'stealing' her away from the tribe and living in a cave for a few days. But when things go wrong on a side-trip to a glacier, Harrec and Kate are forced to help each other survive.
My Thoughts:
The best banter of all couples in the Ice Planet Barbarian series! It's so great because Harrec is constantly trying to get a rise out of Kate as a way to flirt because he likes her, but Kate bites back since she thinks he's purposefully cruel. It's a classic case of misunderstanding and comedy gold!
Harrec is the goofiest barbarian of all! I cannot tell you how many times I laughed out loud. There's just something so pure and loveable about this guy.
Another comical element to the story is that both Harrec and Kate are virgins. Because of their inexperience, there's a lot of questions from both individuals like 'what is kissing' and 'what is a spur'? But how Kate and Harrec talk about each new thing to one another is absolutely hilarious. For example:
' “What the fuck is that?”
Harrec chuckles. “I am surprised you have not seen such things around the bathing pool back at the village. That,” he says proudly and leans forward to whisper to me, “is my cock.”
I want to smack a hand to my forehead. “Not that, you ding-a-ling!” I start to point, and then stop myself because I don’t put it past Harrec to grab my hand and give me a guided tour. “The thing above it.”
“My spur?”
“What the heck is a spur?”

4 ⭐ A wonderful healing journey ♥️
Yes, the Ice Plant Barbarian series is fun and sexy! But what I love most about these books is that many of the FMCs have something to work through, ranging from physical insecurity to sexual trauma. The best kinds of stories are the ones that pull at your heart, and Ruby Dixon did that once again in Barbarian's Prize.
This story is 100% centered on Tiffany working through the trauma (rape) she endured on the alien ship. This trauma isn't something the other women, besides Josie, can really understand or help her cope with - leaving Tiffany feeling scared and at a distance. It doesn't help that she also has the unwanted attention of pretty much every single male sa-khui. I 100% sympathized with Tiffany and thought her reactions were valid. But amist her fears, Tiffany is strong, kind, and determined. She's an MC I truly admire because she had every right to be angry and remain afraid because of her past, but throughout this story, we see her working to move past it with a little help from her sweet friend, Salukh.
Salukh. I AODRE him. Getting to see Tiffany and everything she's going through from his POV made my heart melt. This man KNEW she was his mate from the beginning, and even if his khui didn't resonate to her, it didn't matter. She was his.
