3.5 ⭐️ Luke is just so f*cking hot!
Summary:
Luka, Theo's brother, is a fertility researcher trying to discover a cure for the Clecanians' low birth rates. He uncovers a sinister plot by a fellow scientist to abduct compatible species. But before he can tell anyone what he discovered, Luka is captured, drugged, and thrown in a cell.
Alice is kidnapped by reptilian creatures and forced into a cell with a drugged and incoherent Luka for some kind of breeding experiment. Even though they aren't able to communicate, Alice and Luka find solace in each other's company. As the days pass, Alice starts to wonder what a life with Luka might look like outside of the prison. When an opportunity to free herself, Luka, and other human prisoners present itself, Alice takes it.
Once free, Alice and Luka have a hard time navigating their relationship. Is what they feel for each other real or is it because they shared trauma or is it the mating marks that appeared once they were free? Neither Alice nor Luka want to push the other into something they don't truly want, which leads to a lot of misunderstandings.
My Thoughts:
This was an entertaining story overall, and I mostly enjoyed how it expanded the abduction plot.
What I loved:
The world-building. We learn so much more about the Clecanians' history and planet!
Discovering more of the nefarious plot about abducting humans. Turns out these weren't random abductions, and it's widespread and led by a secret organization! I’m excited to see where this goes and who’s really behind it!
Luka and Alice’s playfulness with each other (once they finally overcome the relationship hurdles). They’re so damn cute. I love how Alice brings out his goofy side. ☺️
The sexual tension and spice. I would say there's more smolder than smut in this story, but it's good all the same. I especially loved when Luka calls Alice ‘mine’ and ‘good girl’.

4.5 ⭐️ This one is my absolute favorite so far in the series! I love Lily and Verakko!!!!
Summary:
When Lily is suddenly freed from an alien prison/lab, she refuses to wait for rescuers in case they are just as bad as her last captors. Along with another human named Alex, Lily takes her chances in the alien forest. Luckily, she grew up with survivalist parents, but navigating the exotic terrain isn't easy. Things become even more challenging when Lily and Alex get separated and a wounded alien falls from the sky into her camp. He's rude, grumpy, and sexy as hell. But can she trust him?
Verakko was supposed to liberate the kidnapped humans, then return home to fulfill his obligations. But instead, he gets wounded during the attack and ends up in the middle of the forest face to face with the most intriguing female he's ever met. He decides to help her find her friend and then they'll go their separate ways. But his plan changes when he begins to suspect that Lily is his mate.
Lily doesn't trust easily. Verakko has secrets that threaten to ruin their relationship before it even begins. If these two want their happily ever after, they'll have to fight more than the dangers in the forest to get it.
My Thoughts:
I am obsessed. Seriously, adore this story! Amazing banter, lost in the wilderness trope, and top-notch alien spice.
Lily is a badass and so hilarious! Verakko is a big ball of love. Together they are formidable and sparks fly! The pacing of this story was perfect. I also love how these two grow as individuals and as a couple.
I’m obsessed and can’t wait to start the next book in the series, Tempting Auzed!!!!!
*I've read the series once and listened to the audiobook 3 times now and LOVE it! Stephen Dexter is an amazing narrator!

5 ⭐️ Screw choosing Theo, I'd choose Fejo ❤️
"I love you, and I'm never letting you go."
Summary:
Out of all the women abducted, Vanessa is the only one who hasn't accepted her situation. She can't. Because she has a family back home on Earth who needs her. And nothing will stop her from getting back to them, even if it means marrying (and betraying) a sexy space pirate to do it.
Fejo wants nothing more than to have a wife to cherish, but his come-and-go lifestyle as the captain of a merchant spaceship makes him an undesirable choice for Clecanian females. So when the gorgeous human Vanessa chooses him as her husband, Fejo is ecstatic. He doesn't know how he got so lucky, but he will do everything in his power to keep her. Unfortunately, his sharp-tongued bride is reluctant to accept his kindness - and pleasure - making him wonder why she chose him in the first place.
Vanessa’s plan was simple. Until she started falling for her ridiculously charming husband. Now, she has to figure out how to get home without breaking Fejo’s heart—or her own.
My Thoughts:
I think this may be my favorite story in the series! I need to reread Saving Verakko to see which wins the spot for my #1!
I felt so many things while reading this story. My heart ached for Fejo and Vanessa’s insecurities and past. I laughed so many times because of their stubbornness, the banter, and Fejo’s ridiculous humor. My pussy throbbed throughout the entire story because of the smoldering sexual tension and many explosive sex scenes. And I felt so much adrenaline during the end fight scenes.
I've seriously fallen in love with Fejo and adore Vanessa. Because of their past traumas, they both feel unworthy of love and struggle with vulnerability. But they decide to take a chance on each other. After some misunderstandings/truths are revealed, they start to see each other for who they truly are underneath the persona they offer the world - Fejo with his pomp and bravado and Vanessa with her rough, bitchy demeanor. It’s a beautiful, comical, sexy story about two people who take a chance on love.
This is the spiciest book so far! Loads of incredible tension and many sex scenes. We even get some 69 action, and he calls her 'his good female.'

3 ⭐️ A fake dating, friends to lovers Christmas themed romance
This was a cute story. I don’t usually like friends to lovers, but I did enjoy this one and would recommend it if you’re looking for something easy to read with a sweet romance.
What I liked:
- The quaint small-town vibes. I loved that (most) people in the town are kind, supportive, and nosey.
- The Christmas tree farm setting. I mean, is this not just the most magical place for a romance story??? I want to visit a place exactly like Lovelight farms!
- The side characters were amazing! Specifically, the grumpy loner, kitten-loving Beckett! I can’t wait for his book!
- Stella and Lukas' friendship is the most wholesome thing I've ever read. I love how they both connected over the loss of a parent and helped each other through the pain. And the way they interact with each other . . . their love and admiration for one another come off the page. Everyone should have a love like theirs.

3 ⭐️ A second-chance romance with a small-town setting and loveable characters
Summary:
Two strangers part ways after an incredible weekend, expecting never to see each other again, but fate has other plans. A story between a big-time social media influencer looking to find her happy, and a small-town farmer willing to help her find it.
What I liked:
- The dual pov. That’s what was missing in Lovelight Farms, so I’m glad we got to have both Evie and Beckett’s pov and see them pining for one another.

3.5 ⭐️ Filler book. A slow but good addition to the series
Trigger Warning (18+): This series contains explicit content and darker elements/themes, including human trafficking, Stockholm Syndrome, gaslighting, non-consensual sex, violence, and mature language.
After that massive cliffhanger from Gleam, I have been eagerly waiting for this next installment in the series. And overall, I enjoyed this story. However, as many have already stated, it was a filler book. There's nothing wrong with filler books. In fact, I believe they are necessary for most series longer than three books. So as far as filler books go, this was done well, but there were a few things that didn't work for me.
Here's what I liked:
Osrik & Rissa. Honestly, they were my favorite part of the story even though we barely see them.
“You are the worst bad mistake I’m glad I never made,” she hisses.
“And you’re still the best mistake I can’t wait to make,” I retort with a smirk.
Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers, but all I know is that I need them together! It's just so adorable how big of a simp the big, burly Osrik is for Rissa.
Queen Malina's side story. Her importance to the story has been a mystery to me, and I never really enjoyed her POV chapters in any of the books until now! Her role in what happens at the end is a huge deal, and I'm curious to see what she does moving forward.
Slade's flashbacks. I absolutely LOVED this. I've had many questions about Slade's parents, magic, and past trauma, which are all answered in this book. His character development is beautifully done and helps us understand why he is the man he is today. I especially enjoyed seeing his connection with his mother and brother, but damn some of those flashbacks broke my heart.

4.25 ⭐️ I loved this book for a very surprising reason
Without her, I am darkness and death, and that is what I will be until I get her back.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
✨ dark romantasy
✨ revenge
✨ angst
✨ redemption
✨ continued world building
✨ action-packed
✨ multiple POVs (Auren, Slade, Malina, Osrik)
✨ established and new romances
✨ "you're mine"
✨ 1.5/5 spice (one sex scene)
✨ found family
✨ plot twists and reveals
✨ cliffhanger ending
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
(I don't spoil any plot twist or reveals but if you don't want to know anything about this book, DO NOT READ FURTHER.)
My Thoughts:
Gold is a fantastic addition to The Plated Prisoner series that will make you laugh, cry, melt, and scream! Everything finally comes together in this book and by the end, you just know we are on the precipice of an epic finale!
What I liked:
Queen Malina. Yep! You're reading this right. I acutally like Queen-fucking-Malina. I know we're all here for Auren and Slade, but this book was really all about Queen Malina's redemption arc. There are a lot of chapters in her POV (13/53), so we really dive deep into her character and see her deal with the consequences of her actions. I love how Raven Kennedy can take a morally gray MC I absolutely hated and turn her into someone I admire.
A little note about Malina's storyline compared to the others. Because there's a big focus on Malina and her character development, so her storyline moves quickly. However, Slade, Auren's and Rissa/Osrik's storylines move at a much slower pace and the big conflicts from the end of Glow are not resolved or are resolved but only at the very end. Just FYI, Slade and Auren are not reunited in this book.
The continued world-building! We finally are in Annwyn and it is beautiful. While the realm is similar to Orea, it’s fundamentally different due to magic. I loved how Auren describes how it feels to be there.
Auren's return to Annwyn is bittersweet but we finally get her backstory. Annwyn was her home, filled with so many wonderful memories, until it was taken away from her. It's easy to understand how Auren's first priority is to get back to Slade, but after learning more about the civil unrest in Annwyn and what role Auren plays in all of it, she realizes there's a lot more at stake. I love Auren's bleeding heart and how it always leads her to helping others.
Slade's revenge rampage. Slade feels split in two without Auren, and when he realizes he can't immediately open up a rip to get back to Auren, he decides to destroy everyone who ever hurt her. Watching him go from kingdom to kingdom to doll our punishments was so fucking satisfying.
Osrik's undying devotion to Rissa.
