5/10

There were a few good nuggets of wisdom, but apparently I'm already pretty Amish.

This is like of Dave ramsey was teaching a class on minimalism

6.6/10

I really enjoyed this book. I liked reading about how people can change and that so many people may have pay experiences so different that what we might think and that shapes who they are as a person.

I was disappointed by the ending. Without leaving spoilers it seemed like it was too abrupt and one of the main characters didn't have the influence that we are led to believe based off the stories told. This probably doesn't make sense to anyone but me, but that's ok.

3/10

I must have missed something in this book because everyone seems to love it. It all seemed so disjointed that I couldn't properly follow along.

I listened to the audiobook, maybe it's better to read the print version?

Did not finish

I know a lot of people really like this, but it was incredibly boring to me. I quit halfway through the Xerox chapter

If you are already a Malcolm X fan, you'll probably really like this. If you are completely uneducated about him like me, this book is not for you.

It is so loaded with facts, people, places and years that I couldn't keep track. I wanted to be finished about halfway through. If I hadn't been listening to this, I would not have finished.

I did enjoy this, but not as much as the first book. Book one sets up all of the mystery and intrigue then book 2 gives the answers. It's not that I didn't like the answers given, but sometimes it is more fun to not know.

This was a good look at how power in the hands of a select few well be very good for them, but ultimately bad for everyone else.

If you haven't read book 1, this book will make no sense to you

5/10

It took awhile to get going (about 3/4 of the book), but the end was exciting and I enjoyed it.

Overall it wasn't my cup of tea

I really liked this book. There were a lot of bits of wisdom sprinkled throughout.

I hurried through it, I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more had I not. I would like to get more into meditation, mindfulness, awareness, etc, although I'm not willing to put in the time and effort

This book wasn't bad, but I didn't really love it either. Really it comes down to the genre bugs me - is much rather learn about actual people rather than fiction
