Most of this book was the history of the oil industry, how fracking came to be and things like that. Based on the title I was expecting it to be mostly about Russia, but it's mostly about Rex tillerson and Exxon.

Idealistically, I agree with what the book says, but it just seems so cherry picked and biased. It's ok to put some facts out that don't 100 percent make the other side a monster. Be complete please.

That said, I enjoyed the parts about Russia and Putin. I always figured they were extremely corrupt, but this gave many examples. It just drifted too far off base for my liking. Maybe if it had been half as long, or even cut out 25%

This was a solid 2 stars right up until about the last 30 pages. The ending is pretty good, but I didn't like how the author got there.

It is another helpful way of showing how you don't know what's going on with other people, no matter their situation.

This was a good book and story, but I had a hard time sticking with it. So much of it is in Elizabeth Packhard's words, which made me want to read Elizabeth Packhard's book. She accomplished a lot and has left a lasting impact on the world, I am not sure that this book did he the full justice. It was still good.

I struggled to read this, so I got the audiobook. I struggled to pay attention listening. If you're a fan of classics, you might like this. If you are like me and aren't a fan of classics, this will not be the one to convince you

I read the first 100 pages and didn't finish. Sorry, but I'm my opinion this book is awful

Meh

3/10

The first couple chapters and the last couple chapters were good, but the whole middle was stuffed with all sorts of stuff like how to navigate boats in the 1500s and different treaties to make space neutral.

There were very few connections to the science of space exploration and the military that I hadn't already come up with myself (really? You mean to tell me all of the Apollo astronauts except 1 we're ex military? No way!).

A lot of this book seemed like Neil Degrasse Tyson trying to show how smart he is. Not really worth the time it takes to read.

I just couldn't get into this one. I had to listen to it and I found my mind constantly drifting - especially during all the poetry.

Maybe I would like it better during a slower time of life?

I thought a lot of this book was pretty funny the way the characters all interacted with each other.

There was a lot of content I didn't care for, with not much advancing the story.

2.2/10

This book went in too many directions at once. I couldn't figure out what the main plot was. I didn't really like any of the characters either.

This is a terrifying book. Rather than ban it, this should be part of jr high or high school curriculum.
