Fantastic page-turner! This guy knows how to weave a suspenseful story. Highly recommend!
American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History
Chris Kyle, Scott McEwen, Jim DeFelice
This type of book is not my typical read, but I had seen the movie preview at the theater, and then learned it was based on a book. I was intrigued and I'm glad I read it. It was fascinating and opened my eyes to a lot of things I had no prior knowledge of. I have to admit, I was really turned off at what a crappy husband and father Chris was throughout his years in war, but he redeemed himself in the end. I highly recommend.
2.5-3 stars. Started out strong, but quickly became too stretched out and I found myself losing interest. Almost gave up but decided to soldier on. This should have been 100 pages less. Overall, kind of a disappointment.
Very interesting story that was beautifully written. Enjoyed this one very much. Thanks for the recommendation, Jill.
Started out as a strong 4 stars, but at the half way point took a nose dive, and it was downhill all the way til the end.
I liked the story and writing style. This was the first book I've read with a "group" narrator. I liked this book, but it's not one I would rave to friends about. It was good, but forgettable. And the title is terrible.
