This is an absolutely beautiful memoir, as told by Beverly Little Thunder to Sharon Proulx-Turner. We learn about some really dark and traumatic experiences that Beverly, her parents and grandparents, and her children have been through, and at the same time we see not only the resilience of the human spirit but also the power of ceremony, of community, of youth, of our voices, of our ancestors. The audio version of this was really well done. I’d highly recommend ONE BEAD AT A TIME.
