The real draw of this book for me was the way the characters handled their grief over the loss of their friend to gun violence. There's a timeliness to that particular storyline.
But what I loved was the demonstration of civil disobedience through public art. Art, and its display on social media, as a way to hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
I also loved the podcast. It was a deft way to introduce information that could have been seen as didactic in any other format. Definitely worth the read.

I love a good road trip novel. I think the thing that really challenged me was the MC's motivation for going on the road trip. Grief can negatively affect rationality, I understand, but
catfishing the daughter of the person whose drunk driving resulted in the death of a parent
seems particularly cruel. That said, I did love the relationships in this novel, and it's 100% worth the read.
