This book series was so good, I ended up buying a subscription to Galatea just to finish it! I couldn’t handle waiting hours just to read one chapter. I loved how many plot twist and turns the series had. Finished it within two days because I couldnt put it down! Wish it was in kindle or paperback so I can physically own the book to reread whenever I want. While other books on the app Galatea dont live up to the Mason series, its series alone was worth the $30 subscription.

After finishing Haunting Adeline, I wanted to find something similar to fill the void. This book did exactly that! While its not as dark as HA and takes place in high school years, it was still a good read. The plot & character development played out nicely. I was able to finish it within a day! I’m excited for book 2. I would highly recommend this book as a starter to readers who are looking to dive into dark spicy romance. Super short & hot read! I was drawn to it because like the author, I am a huge lover of Halloween & all things related which caught my interest to pick it up. I found the book more on the spicy/humor side the way it was written with plenty steam and comedic moments through out the story. Please make sure to read the TW as it contains suicide/rape etc. for those subject can be sensitive to others. I loved the relationship between Renae & Mr. Grim but I wish we got a little more in-depth character developments and build up but it’s a short read for a reason. Decided to take a break from dark romance & wanted to do a romance thriller. I saw this book as a recc. on booktok a while ago & finally decided to get it. It did have some suspense to it but not as thrilling as I wanted it to be. The book felt more like a slow-burn romance that had a lot of inconvenient events interfering. It didn’t really feel like a thriller until 80% into the book. The first half was just Grace & Calvin building their relationship. The ending was a plot twist, but I wasn’t too taken back. I had an idea that Grace would somehow survive by killing him. I just didn’t think she was what she is. I felt like Grace should have ended up with Calvin since they seem right for each other in all the wrong ways. I wish the author gave us a peek into what happen after Grace left the house (in terms of the town’s reaction). While I don’t regret reading it, I’m glad I didn’t buy a physical copy to keep and went for the kindle version. It was a nice distraction & break from my usual reads!

About 80% into the book, I wasn’t able to put it down but the last 20% was a bit disappointing. Towards the end of the book, it was nothing but spicy scenes back to back & it also felt really rush as repetitive. I had just finished Hunting Adeline & needed something to fill the void; this book was my most recommended and it almost did the trick! It was also my very first reverse harem & can say it won’t be my last. Most review I’ve read on this book, was how everyone was uncomfortable with how Diesel is & his scenes (it wasn’t for me at all) so I’d take caution of the triggers before diving in :) My favorite out of the four brothers would have to Garrett!

About 40% into the book, I was unsure of whether I liked it or not. Most of the beginning to mid was spent in Delia’s head/deep thoughts. The action/excitement doesn’t really start until halfway through. I’m glad I pushed myself to keep reading cause thats when I couldn’t put the book down! I did find Delia a bit annoying the way her character is. She mostly acted recklessly on her emotions rather then brain. I was interested in picking up this book because the story’s plot was intriguing and the writing was good but I felt like it could be better. It earns a solid 3.5 star from me! From my expectation of a mafia book, I wanted a little more darkness when it came to Salvo being a mafia don. I felt like his character was weak compared to other mafia-don books I’ve read. It’s definitely a slow burn romance with a lot of tension between the two mc’s. The tension between both was very intense & I really enjoyed the spice! Can’t wait for book 3!

While book 2 was intriguing, I felt like the story’s development was still on the short ended. I still have so many questions that are unanswered! Book 2 did get spicier but I was more interested in the secrets & background story of Evie. While Roman was my favorite & I was looking forward to more of him, I was disappointed that book 2 was more focused on Nik, Evie and the vamp twins. I am looking forward to book 3 & to see how the rest of story will unfold!
