One Of The Guys by Dawn Doyle

I'm giving this book a solid 4 stars. I think the development of characters was amazing, albeit the plot was a bit generic and predictable, I still couldn't stop reading it ( I might be a sucker for teenage romance) . i definitely enjoyed how relateable this story is, at some point in time we've all been in love with a best friend or someone close. I do think this would've bean even more great if there was a plot twist, like Logan being gay or something like that, some how them not being together would've been different. I also wish we could've gotten Logan's point of view earlier on. it felt as though, his pov was forgotten or decided on last minute and that was kinda annoying. but all in all a Great read.
The Mourning After by Rochelle B. Weinstein

At first, I wasn't impressed with this book. Although the title CLEARLY says, 'The MOURNING After' for some reason I expected, the sadness to last a lot less than it did. With that being said, I couldn't put the book down, I was waiting for the moment to come when their sadness was no longer there and it didn't happen till the end. Rochelle Weinstein, did a great job capturing the grief of ALL the family members, while I myself have never lost a child, I believe the way the mother was portrayed to be spot on. This was definitely a page turning, in a sense that it wasn't a thriller but because it was so easy to feel their pain you couldn't wait for it to be done. GREAT book.
