This is an easy to read, fun and entertaining book. I think that’s big part of why I liked it so much. It was nice reading a book that I could finish in a short amount of time that left me feeling good inside.
This entire play was just really depressing. I didn’t like any of the characters and there were so many things that could of gone differently. It’s a story about the failure of the American Dream and about the meaningless of life. It’s about the humdrum of life and how it can drive you crazy. It reads very much like a classic. I definitely liked The Crucible much better. Now I have to go read something happy make me feel better.
First off- I enjoyed reading this a lot. It was a good buffer between the previous three books and the future ones to come. I enjoyed it because it was a short easy read about the domestic life of the main characters.
Second- I know a lot of the reviews on this book complain about how it is just “fan fiction” and that it doesn’t really do much for the story line. You know how many people say that they wished there was more of an epilogue to their favorite books? And how they wish that the author expanded more on the characters lives after the main books? — well, this is exactly what S J Maas did. I read about so many people wanting their favorite authors to write about the characters after the main story line and about the characters domestic lives. Well people, S J Maas just did that, and she did it well! Maybe you still think this isn’t worth your $$ but oh well, it was worth mine.
