this was such an interesting read. the fact that gladestone and el-mohtar wrote one perspective each was definitly the right choice. you could easily differentiate red and blue's POVs.

the romance is subtle - and so is the character development - but it's so beautifully done. i loved the pet names, how they slowly and deeply got to know each other... writing letters is a common trope, but never like this. the way red and blue left each other letters, ah! just great.

the reason i can't give this novel five stars is because the worldbuilding felt a bit lacking. or maybe i'm just stupid. the time travel and how it works was a bit confusing. but it was still such a good read.
