i have no idea idk i can definitely see how this book would appeal to people and it did to me at first but it just wasn't for me (personal preference). red and chloe are adorable though. also, the conflict was really weird too and felt a bit unnecessary. 3.5 stars it is. it was really funny and both the characters are so endearing and real in their own ways. i hate saying this but it just wasn't for me. definitely not a bad book though

really portrayed "the American dream" well in a not-so-stereotypical way. love how it was written, found myself highlighting so many parts. gatsby was such an interesting character to read about.

one of the best couples i've ever read about.

amazing. beautiful. a book has never made me cry this much as this one has. one of the best books ever

teaches great lessons about feminism and a world that ours could become, just that the writing style wasn't my favourite (but i do see why it's written in the way it was, to represent the submissive, demure and gloomy conditions the handmaids were in) i wish there could've been more character + relationship + world developing

erm idk what rlly to say for this? i found some parts too cheesy and done-too-many times, like the fact that they keep overdoing the "i'll do anything for you" verses repetitively? it got really repetitive. but i can't rlly say this was bad cuz it definitely wasn't, it was a really solid romance that was worth the read and kept me hooked for the majority of the read. i just didn't really fall for any of the characters.

4.5 stars!! jane is literally perfect and such a good role model to young girls out there. seriously gave me a new perspective on love, it was amazing. i think because of my usual restlessness for more action and less monologue this was a bit draggy for me sometimes, and hard to get through, but that definitely doesn't make it a bad book. it's pretty religiously-centered though, which i'm not very interested in.

seriously a great comfort book i'd say, any high school student should read this as it really breaks the norms surrounding uni

fuck wtf this book. watanabe is perfect?? i can't the ending...ugh i'll continue this review later.
