ホリミヤ 01 [Horimiya, Vol. 01] by HERO
liked this! Didn't love it per se (because I went in with high expectations), but definitely like it enough to continue reading and really think I'll enjoy future volumes more!
The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm by Christopher Paolini
absolutely LOVED returning to the world of Alagaesia. forgot how much the inheritance cycle meant to me when i was younger and how much I considered the characters my friends. happy to see more stories with them and NEED MORE from the world of Eragon ASAP because i have SO MANY unanswered questions!!
Parachutes by Kelly Yang
freaking incredible. this book had such incredibly flawed characters trying their best at every turn. another book with an author's note at the end that begs to be read—knowing the author's inspiration behind this story made it all the more meaningful. i felt so much for Claire and Dani and for girls like them in the world, and i hope more people will pick up this book. CW: rape, sexual assault

I remember watching the movie for this book when I was a kid and finding it the most wondrous thing. This story has influenced my life far more than I can express. Reading the book brought all those memories and dreams back, right when I needed them most. I recommend this book to anyone who has ever been a kid before, and dreamed, and wished, and had friends, and lost them, and desired beyond belief to have them back.
Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
This took me absolutely far too long to finish but it was a lovely little book and I love both our main characters. I saw the third act twist coming from a mile away but regardless I enjoyed the emotional growth the characters go through!
My Lady Jane by Jodi Meadows, Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand
Another book that took me WAAY too long to finish simply because I put it down for too long and didn't pick it back up until two days ago! This was a delight—hilarious, sweet, and absolutely over-the-top in the best way. Although it was a bit long, I loved every character in this book and I especially loved the narrator. Highly recommend the audiobook because the actress did a wonderful job and her british accent really makes things better
Witchy, Vol. 1 by Ariel Slamet Ries
AHH THIS WAS SO GOOD. I LOVE the artwork and the story/world is just incredibly imagined. I'm so excited to see where this goes and I can see myself following it for a long time!
