I read the synopsis of Seven Dirty Secrets and was instantly intrigued! I mean- a thriller book about a mysterious scavenger hunt?! Yes sign me up!!

The Butcher was another great book with an intriguing storyline and unique characters. I love how this book mentions one of the main characters from her debut novel, Creep (super good one as well!!).

What I enjoyed:
-the Filipino representation!!

First off: THIS BOOK LIVED UP TO THE HYPE❕

I waited for the hype and popularity to die down until I gave this one a shot. Also - I went into this blind forgetting what the synopsis said. But I’m shocked to have rated it 5 stars! I almost didn’t want it to live up to the hype

WOW!! Did I devour this book or did it devour ME??

I was hooked from beginning to end and I can't emphasize how gripping and addicting The Last Housewife was!

I listened to the audiobook and it was literally like listening to a true crime podcast. I loved the snippets of podcast transcripts and how the MC started her own investigation with the help of the podcast host. The story itself was athmospheric, chilling, very dark and pretty graphic but SO good! I haven't read many books about cults but this one is definitely a favorite.

The Last Housewife is centered around sex cults, misogyny, power, and Shay's disturbingly dark past. The author amazingly brought this story to life and showed the real, raw and horrifying sides of cults.

‼️I highly recommend listening to @courtjunkie’s 200th episode called The Sarah Lawrence Sex Cult. I immediately thought about that episode when I started this book!

Wonderland was yet another dark and disturbing book by JH! From the beginning you already knew something sinister was going on.

What I loved:
❣️ Jerry Isaac’s reappearance!!

DROP WHATEVER YOU’RE READING &

I was pleasantly surprised with this one! This definitely gave me “You” vibes and I LOVED how deliciously psycho this book was!

I finally finished The Arrangement trilogy series! This was an absolutely WILD ride from beginning to end!

The cat and mouse game continues in The Atonement after Ainsley’s attempt to start a new life. Things have gotten messy between Peter and Ainsley and you can’t help but wonder who is being the unreliable narrator? Who can you trust? What will happen to the Greenburgs?

This was a great end to the trilogy, despite the fact that I didn’t love one of the big plot twists and found that this book lacked the same thrill as the previous two.

My first book by Jennifer McMahon and I’m intrigued!! You’re in for some spooky, dark vibes with The Children On The Hill. This is a unique read about monsters - but are they real or not?

This book has multiple POVs with dual timelines and occasional excerpts of news articles and the MCs’ “Book of Monsters”. Packed with lots of stories and information, this book is one you need to 100% pay attention to.

This is my 3rd book by Sager and he has yet to disappoint me! Although not my favorite of his, this one is definitely worth reading.

Jules comes across a job posting online - apartment sitters needed at the Bartholomew. The pay is $12k and you stay for 3 months. Agreeing to the suspiciously strict and secretive building policy, Jules gets the job and moves in. After her first few days she slowly realizes things aren’t as great as they seem.

Lock Every Door starts off with a slow burn, which in this case I actually enjoyed! I can’t give away what the story really is about, but I haven’t read any books with this topic yet. This was a very atmospheric read. The building, the characters; it seems like everyone is keeping a secret and playing a dark game.

I loved the storyline and the eerie and dark vibes! You get to know some of the residents, which might be a lot at first but you catch on who is who pretty quickly! Certain events left me confused with unanswered questions though.
