You can’t go wrong with Lucinda’s books! She’s definitely a fave author of mine and Under Her Care is another top read!
First off, I absolutely loved the topic about autism and the story of Mason, a child who was diagnosed with ASD. I work at a ABA therapy clinic where we see kiddos with autism every day and could definitely agree with the diagnosis related information. Under Her Care provides a good amount of information on the autism spectrum disorder and it’s super insightful. I am just so amazed and intrigued by the autism community.
Under Her Care is such an addictive and gripping psychological thriller. The build up was great as well as the character development. Mason and Harper absolutely intrigued me. I enjoyed how the story played out and the ending was definitely unexpected!

Wow. This was beautiful, heartbreaking, and moving all at once.

Beautiful, heartbreaking, dark, unique, and mesmerizing.
We read about Franny’s attempt to follow possibly the last migration of the Arctic terns from Greenland all the way to Antarctica. All while learning about her dark past and getting glimpses of how she became the woman she is now.
❄️ „The last of them, perhaps in the world. If I were capable of staying any place, it might be here. But the birds won't stay, and neither will I.“
I love the topic of climate change and global warming. While this book is fiction, the subject is very much real and devastating.
❄️ „The ocean is nearly empty. You have taken and taken and now there is nothing left.“
I loved Franny’s character - how she has “wandering feet” and can’t stay at one place for too long, how she feels the urge to be close to the ocean and free as a bird.

This was such a fun read! At one point in the book I felt like I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough! If you love investigative procedures, a locked room mystery(“box” in this case
What a beautiful and heartfelt story! This book is not a thriller, but suspenseful literary fiction.
I loved the letters from CeeCee’s mom at the beginning of the chapters. It definitely added to the curiosity of the whole storyline. The character development was well-plotted, and the story well-written, despite there being a few unrealistic aspects to it. CeeCee’s life was tragic, but beautiful at the same time. I never knew where the story was going and didn’t know what to expect.
I didn’t love that this book had over 500 pages but I’m secretly glad it’s off my physical tbr list now

Final Girls was the first book I read by Riley Sager and it definitely won’t be the last. Written in two perspectives is what made it even more interesting. I read this book in less than a week but know if I had the time, I would’ve finished it a lot sooner.
I do have to admit the first chapters were a bit slow but the ending makes up for it with parts you did not see coming - but should have

Not sure where to start as I have loved every book I read by Lisa Jewell. But this one.. this one was missing something. The feeling of when you hit the very top of the roller coaster. There was a build up to it, but then it seemed like it just.. vanished?
Don’t get me wrong, the book was good. But having read 4 of her books with a personal rating of at least 4 stars (if not 5!) this turned out to be my least favorite book of hers. The story itself is good but could’ve been written better. And even though the ending kind of ends on a cliffhanger, it does make you wonder “who really did it?”

What I enjoyed the most about this book is the style of how it was written - whether it was in a form of a blog entry, a conversation, a snippet of a planner - I was intrigued to keep reading. Some aspects of the book could’ve been told differently but there’s a part where, for a moment, I thought “Wait. WHO is she??”
Definitely a good and quick YA thriller read!

This book kept me wondering what’s going to happen next! There were definitely moments where I made a face and said “What in the world?!”
The ending was dragged out just a bit, but if shortened- it would’ve been nearly perfect! The last few pages, when heading towards the last and final twist.. I felt regret for the main character. Once I put two and two together, my first thought was “Oh no”.

This detective thriller was such a good read! A book with different POVs - one of which is the serial killer’s! At first I thought it’d just give everything away.. but in reality it made it more intriguing! Not only do you find out how he murdered his victims, but also what led him to it and what his thought process was when choosing his victims. Very interesting!
The only thing that I didn’t enjoy too much is that the video game World Of Warcraft was a big part of the book. Only because I am not familiar with it nor did I understand what was going on when mentioned in the book lol.
Either way, the book was good!! Especially when you find out about the final twist
