This book gave me ALL THE FEELS. I’m talking about frustration, anger, disgust, … hate. Honestly, what a roller coaster ride. Only that I screamed internally!

1 book; 3 stories:
Newlyweds- but then the husband goes missing..
..a naive and too trusting single mother..
..a man who ends up at a beach and can’t remember a thing - not even his name.

This book was such a GREAT read with twists and turns you thought you would’ve predicted (at least I did) but wow was I wrong! There were some pretty graphic and violent parts, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying this book.

This… was a wild roller coaster ride. A crazy, messed up, and a bit disturbing read. I have no idea where to begin

A detective thriller read about two different cases. A homicide case that just happened and a cold case being reinvestigated from 25 years ago. Two completely different and unique cases. But - at some point, they overlap and a strange connection is made..

I dived into this book without knowing a thing about it… I did not know what was coming. The graphic rape scenes hit me especially hard in this book as I was not prepared for it. It disgusted me and I felt myself getting angry at what was happening to Jenny. Unfortunately, this isn’t just fiction.. the abuse, violence, rape,.. they happen too often and it’s something that needs to be spoken up about.

The story itself was intriguing and I was hooked from the start! I enjoyed the crime podcast part of the book as I love listening to Crime/Court Junkie on Spotify. There were certain questionable parts in the book but I still enjoyed it regardless!

I was hoping this book would live up to the hype but I either have bad taste in books or I’m just super picky

This book did not disappoint! A suspenseful read with twist and turns you did not expect. I thought I had it all figured out, but I’m SO glad I didn’t

The first few chapters intrigued me, I could already envision the high school and prison setting in my head. The more I read the more I needed to know what exactly happened That Night.

I was furious about the way Toni had been treated and wronged over and over again. Especially by Shauna and her little gang. Plus her mom and Nicole..

This was a different style for me. I found this to be a bit harder to get into at first due to the bigger cast. The 6-headed Bird family has several different characters/personalities and stories. I was convinced this was just a story about a family and their struggles, their relationships, their lives. Basically a literary fiction. But I was surprised about some of the events that took place.

I enjoyed reading about their secrets, their lies, the different paths they took. This had a unique storyline and was the first book I read that had a hoarder in it.

While I listened to the audiobook, I did have the physical copy and noticed how incredibly long the chapters were (some 40 minutes!). There were several character/POV changes within the same chapter which made it difficult to follow.
