Each book I read from this series becomes my new favourite. I'm going to try and not spoil much in my squeals.

I love Richard & Big Daddy too much. This world is so unique, and I love how we got to explore a werewolf that can speak to his wolf. EEEEE. Big daddy really made me giggle & kick my feet. I also have a biiiiig soft spot for when men discover they like being switches for the right woman ... also fated mates!!!

I loved reading about Lola's journey. She is so strong at the beginning, and she just got stronger throughout the book. She felt so real and I just want to be friends with her, maybe be her 😂. Please.

I AM ALSO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT BOOK. SEEING DIRK & LOU AND THEM STARTING TO MAKE THEIR CONNECTIONS... EEEEEE x3

This book absolutely swept me off my feet.

Ever since this cover has been revealed, I have been NEEDING to read this book. The cover is stunning, and the diversity of the MCs in the book called to me. I love the sapphic, demi-sexual, poly (and so much more) representation in this book. It made me so happy I wanted to giggle and kick my feet like a little school girl.

There is so much I love in this book, but I find it quite hard to articulate.

I loved seeing all their pieces slowly aligning with each other. Not just as a group, but within pairs as well. A lot was explored for a average sized novel. Also.. I am a big fan of grovelling and simping ... and boy this book did not disappoint on that front.

I loved this book so much, it was my first from Maeve, and that love made me read the others within a couple days. This series has become a quick favourite of mine.

ALSO THE SPICE IN THIS BOOK.... 10/10. Some of the best Maeve has written so far (Stupid Cupid a close second).

THIS BOOK LIVED UP TO THE HYPE. It is sapphic, features a female dragos & pixie, a fantastic world, and oh so lovely spice.

Tahlia. LITTLE TEETHIES!!!!!!! That is when I knew I was hooked. I was already sold on her just by the image of her on the back cover, bUT LITTLE TEETHIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And how she would roll up her sleeves, swoon!! I am a sucker for the bodyguard/touch her and die tropes, so Thalia was my cup of tea. I am on the same page a Delilah, I am down to be stepped on!

"With a low, raspy voice, she growled, “I don’t take, I devour.”
“I’ve been told I’m a snack,” Delilah blurted out, her cheeks burning to a crisp. “I suspect you’re a whole meal, my little daisy,” Tahlia straightened, pulling away.
“But you’re a dangerous thing to have on the menu.” Delilah smirked, “Because I’m spicy?” “Because you’re trouble.”"

Delilah. Delilah is a delight. Her bubbly energy really made me giddy. I fell in love with her so quickly, but it was solidified when she decided she had to boop Tahlia's snoot. The more I learned, the more I loved. The kindest ones tend to have to saddest stories. As most of my favourite characters, Delilah is strong as hell, and unapologetic.

"Because she’d come to accept it. She wasn’t a good person. She wasn’t a bad person. She wasn’t a monster for having to survive. She wasn’t a beast for having boundaries or needs. She wasn’t a nightmare for having damage or trauma. Delilah Morningstar was a survivor and she was damn proud of that."

I FUCKING LOVED THIS BOOK. I ATE THIS BOOK UP SO FAST. I DEVOURED IT LIKE A SNAKE😘.

I am so happy we got to see the previous couple in this book. I very much love them dearly, but this couple... THIS COUPLE!!! The grump! The sass! The care !!! THE SPICE!!

I love how there was instant attraction, but not immediate action. THERE WAS SUSPENSE, THERE WAS BANTER, THERE WAS FLIRTING, THE CARING TOO!! EEEEEEE.

Adeib. The man, the myth, the legend. He did not disappoint. For all his hard exterior, he has a very soft interior and I loved seeing him open up more to Iris. ALSO - yay!! unique bits!!! And he knows how to use that tail.. wooot!!

Iris. I love how Iris was unapologetically queer in this book. I do not see if often, especially when the main couple is MF. I love how much she pushed Adeib, I love me a flustered man. I love that she reads omegaverse (woman after my own heart).

Florp. Florp is the star of this book. I love the familiars of all this series a lot, but .... FLORP!!

P.S. I fucking love Raemond, I need more content about him ASAP.

Blurb:

Adeib Ali is a man with the personality of a thorn and the lower-body of a snake. As Head of the Botanical Magic Department, he’s busy. Too busy to be dealing with an amateur medicinal mage who doesn’t meet expectations. Or follow protocols. Or do literally anything by the book, and yet…

Iris Watson is sure of one thing and one thing she has no idea what she’s doing. After a chaotic and successful start to her career, she’s been assigned to complete a research project at Augury University—the same university where her sister works.

Although working at Augury was Iris’ worst nightmare, what really keeps her up at night is her new partner. Adeib might be a constrictor serpentine, but his words spit like venom, breaking down the pieces of Iris’ already fractured sense of self.

Can Iris find the beauty blooming beneath Adeib’s prickly exterior? Will Adeib be able to nurture the new growth Iris finds at Augury?
