- one of those books that is actually a fun ride if u don't take it *too* seriously. If you stop thinking too hard about plot holes, you actually get to enjoy this.
- no big "plot twist" (everything kinda went the way I expect it to), which isn't bad per-se, but if you're looking for a huge plot twist this really isn't the book.
- mcu like characters where they're almost indistinguishable between one another? They're all just sarcastic lol
- I wished they'd describe the kaijus in a bit more detail so I can set the scene better in my head; but that might just be a me problem, I like it better when authors are descriptive of creatures esp when it's not from our world. The whole time I just imagined kaijus from tokusatsu and the like whenever possible lol

- American centric jokes, which doesn't land sometimes bc it's very American centric and I ain't American lol
- blonde women and blonde women and blonde women. I can barely recount anyone being not white. Which is generally fine but the obsession with "white features" is rly weirding me out
- what's with the weird Asian women subtexts like????? Don't do that shit if ure gonna use angklung for anything :/
- With all the inner monologues and self deprecating stuff we got about greta, I wish we had seen a little bit more abt flavia other than; oh she's *actually* fragile and this is a defense mechanism.
- the big plot twist isn't so much as a big plot twist and more like, "that's it? "; greta has not much redeeming qualities (which is fine) but I'd had thought she would improve a bit other than just come see a shrink
