Truly an incredible book. The story is interesting and engaging and will make you feel for the family. Steinbeck loves to flex his car knowledge and parts of the book and very of their time, but the book holds up as a beautifully written masterpiece.

A fun and funny story with wonderful characters and an interesting world that lacks a real sense of danger because nothing is taken seriously, but that's just what you want from a story like this.

What a great adventure packed with real historical and scientific detail! Really great story that has a lot of fun action without forgoing real character development and interpersonal relationships that simultaneously don't get in the way of the story at large.

This book is bad. The twist was the most interesting part of the book, but it came at the very end and was completely mishandled. This book should not have been written in the first person perspective if this the reveals were going to be what they were.
The romance was bad and cringey, but the sex scenes were fine. So much of the characters flirting was just awfully and lacked chemistry and not a single character was at any point likable except one who was just kind of sad.
