I didn't expect something exceptional on that novel though i have to admit Jojo Moyes's writing gives us something that we can't detach from it. This book was entertaining, funny, with some quotes i can't forget. Even if the ending was predictable from the beginning i felt like i was travelling with the characters, learning them, living with them and that's what i needed : a book that makes me escaping from reality with however that reality who catch us at some parts. The characters have their qualities, their defaults and they're not perfect, they're just like you and me.
Well this is like a musical Divergent in the beginning even though there's still some interesting quotes about life and death and so on, i didn't enjoy this novella. The storyline was kinda boring.

I tried, really, but it was more a torture to read it than a pleasure. Too much hype for nothing, a typical YA novel with such a lot of clichés and a predictable plot.
So well okay the writing of the author is very well but scenaristically it's pretty non-sense. It's like your're put The Hunger Games in a world of Game Of Thrones where there's The Selection and the X-Men are guest starring. I expected so much better since a lot of people told me it was different but oh bloody hell no, it's a YA novel like I see in my library.
The thing I hated the most was that everytime Mare always says she's different and special and blahblahblah, no seriously I had hard hopes it would be an interesting story but as soon as she discover she has power but she's a Red (yeah because there's theX-Men Silver with power and silver blood and the Red who are poor like the district 12)and that's why I couldn't continue anymore, maybe another day i'll try again, but I don't think so.
Plus I read a lot that there'll be a love triangle so it's more a NO for me.

Bien bien bien, je dois avouer qu'au niveau du scénario, l'action reste toujours aussi prenante, on retrouve notre cher trio confrontés à divers problèmes plus sévères que dans le premier tome et cela renforce leurs caractères, avec un cliffhanger à la fin qui pousse à lire le tome final.
Néanmoins, il y a beaucoup de négligences au niveau de la plume : c'est bourré de répétitions, alors je suis pas calée en anglais à ce point là mais "to nod" doit bien avoir un synonyme, non ? Deux auteurs, qui sont passées à l'édition/correction et même pas foutu de corriger ce détail ? Et aussi, quand on crée des personnages secondaires, on leur invente une histoire, on les crée pas uniquement dans le but de faire joli, Rey et Reyna qui partent au début du tome 2 et qui reviennent à la fin comme si tout allait bien. Déjà Rey ne place que deux mots dans tout le bouquin c'est dire son développement Pourquoi ? Et un vilain qui débarque de nulle part. Je sais pas, y a beaucoup de laisser aller, c'est comme si elles n'avaient pas planifié le scénario du livre avant. J'ai peur pour le tome final mais je le lirai juste par curiosité.

Arrêté à la page 220 pour la simple et bonne raison que je ne peux plus continuer ce livre. Autant je pensais que l'idée serait originale entre l'histoire du personnage principal qui met ses études en pause pour écrire son roman (et je vois avouer m'être reconnue en lisant le résumé, c'est d'ailleurs pour ça que j'ai lu.), et celle de son personnage, mais au final... Je suis déçue. Déjà, l'écriture n'est pas mauvaise, mais j'accroche pas, l'intensité reste la même. Et je rajouterai qu'à travers son personnage; l'auteur cherche à démotiver les jeunes passionnés qui écrivent et c'est assez gênant. C'est dommage, j'étais partie super positive..
