I loved and lived the atmosphere of this book, and if you’re fond of magical realism you might like the twist too!

A good read, much like the first Wolf Den. I do have a sense that in some ways the writing seems a little bit more sloppy, or perhaps I am a more critical reader now.

It is hard not to fall in love with the women and vibrant characters, as well as the gravitational pull between more complex morals and values of Amara.

Enjoyed it and will wait until November 2023 for the final book in anticipation

I am so in love with the strangeness of this book - it’s comical and insightful and deeply haunting for some reason. A great read

Yes, I am on my V.E Schwab grind, and what about it??

This is a weird one for me, nothing about this book feels exeptionally good nor exceptionally bad. For someone who has now been devouring V.E Schwab for a few months, I believe that it was noticeable that this was her first adult fantasy (what a fab adult debut to have!), as it does not feel as beautifully developed as for eg A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy where the story and the characters seemed to jump out of the novel and take you along with them whether you liked it or not.

I liked the premise of the book, and will definitely be reading the second part as I MUST know what happens next, and perhaps with time I will develop a more vivid taste for the characters.
