I love me a good YA mystery thriller! While this had its cheesy moments and it took me a little while to wrap my head around all the characters, I really enjoyed it! The twists were decent and it was a super quick read!
4.5 stars.
Wow I loved this book and it was such a wild ride! If you were a fan of Verity, I think you’ll like this too although there are still a lot of differences. The paranormal aspects of this book really creeped me out at times but it had lovely romance elements as well! While I caught on to some twists, there were also twists I did not expect! One of my favourite Coho books now.

I really enjoyed this book overall! Not perfect since I found the world pretty confusing at first with all of the new words and tbh I did not come to fully understand them all by the end but it did get easier. Liked Alina and Mal, intrigued by the Darkling but also low key hate him. Excited to keep reading the series!
First half of the book was basically perfect to me. Enemies to lovers, fake dating, I was swooning. The second half I didn’t love as much and that’s where it loses a star for me. But these are the types of romances I’m here for.
Super cute book! Found it a little boring in the middle and a little too steamy for me but still really adored the romance dynamic and especially Stella, the main character.
This book just wasn’t really for me. It had some cute moments for sure and I loved the representation included. However, I am realizing overly steamy books are a no go for me.
Still enjoying the series, although still clearly a product of its time and has its flaws. Really liked the introduction of Nikolai’s character and enjoyed seeing more development of Alina’s relationship with Mal.
This was truly a beautiful and magical story. While slow at parts and the writing was very “flowery” as they say, the concept was great and I found the circus to be so interesting and the competition so intriguing.
I feel pretty similarly to this book as I did the first two! There’s were parts I liked and parts I wish could have been different. A decent ya fantasy series!
3.5 rating! Didn’t like it as much as the first 2 books in the series but liked it more than the 3rd one. Came to enjoy the Manon/witch chapters which was a relief. Wish my bb Dorian was in it more though.
