Probably more of a 4.5 rating! Just because I found there to be a massive amount of info dumping at times that either bored me or confused me. However, for the second half of the book I really loved it! I ended up getting so into the story and found a new ship that is giving me major feels that I haven’t felt in a while. So so good! It has the lover ya fantasy tropes I love while also adding a lot of uniqueness.
I definitely enjoyed reading this book! I liked getting povs from a bunch of different characters and seeing the flashbacks. The heist was also interesting to experience. However, I still feel like their was something lacking with the world building and writing, similar to the original trilogy in the universe.
Obviously I love this book so much! These characters are so great and there’s so many different relationships to root for. I’m too invested!! Give me the next book!!
Honestly a little shocked this series is so beloved! At first I thought I’d like this more than the first one because we had more going on than a single heist. But turns out there were too many things happening yet not enough at the same time. The ending was especially lack lustre for me. Still enjoyed our characters.

This book was so intriguing and such an easy read because the mystery really kept you engaged. Only losing a half star because I feel like after such a good build up, the ending was a slight let down. Everything did come together and made sense but I kind of wanted more from it. Still loved my reading experience though!

Definitely a decent thriller! Had the fun, quick read aspects you expect. The end did drag a bit for me with the major reveal happening pretty early on with lots of book left but I overall enjoyed it!
Really liked this book however not super thrillery! Very focused on character development and backstory and less on the plot. Eventually you do get those twists though. Trigger warnings for sexual assault and violence for sure. There were some scenes that were very hard to read.
I enjoyed Sagar’s writing style and the twist at the end. However, did not enjoy the majority of the book as much as I do most thrillers, including their others! I can tell it was their first one!
This book was pretty good! I liked most of the povs we got as some of them are my favourite characters in the grishaverse. The main ship is pretty cute but definitely left me wanting more! Pretty good cliffhanger that makes me excited to pick up the next one.
Obviously I loved this book! I almost forgot how crazy Maverick’s life would have been at this time. Highly recommend for fans of The Hate You Give.
