Really enjoyed reading this throwback! While it had some elements and flaws from that 2011 YA era, it still kept me highly engaged the entire time! It is definitely not a standalone book and I think a lot more action and answers will come with the rest of the series (I hope!) it was fun to read and the romance had cute elements as well.
I really enjoyed this next section! There were some things I forgot about the anime so it was fun to see these things happen. Also a favourite character of mine has appeared!
I’ll never tire of seeing the plans Light comes up with to trick L and get people to believe he’s innocent! It’s why I love this story so much.
The amount of time Mara released a breath she didn’t know she was holding, oh man. Besides that, I am still loving this series! We finally got some reveals in this book, although it took us a little too long to get there in my opinion. Looking forward to the conclusion.
This book was so cute! I loved the dynamic between the 2 main characters—grumpy/sunshine yes! I also liked them both as individuals. I did find the couple got together a little too quick for me; I would have liked more of a build up and tension.
Wow, this book was truly terrific! It is a super fun take on superheroes and the romance was adorable. Our main character Nick is really entertaining to read about. The twist at the end...I had chills. Can’t wait for more books in the series.
Ladies and gents we have a contender for my favourite book of the year! Once again I could not put this book down, just like the first book. The mystery was so great and the writing style combined with the multimedia aspects kept me so engaged! The romance is so fricken adorable as well. Can not wait for the next book.
4.5 stars. I loved this book so much! Finally a slow burn romance rooted in friendship. Ugh perfection. I enjoyed all of the characters in the book so much and I even had tears in my eyes at the end. A new favourite romance!
This was a decent, fun, cute read! Chaotic energy is definitely present in this book as the two main characters get stranded in NYC without cell phones and eventually get separated. I like how Matson’s books always feature friendship, romance, family relationships and career paths. This one in particular clearly drew a lot of inspiration from my favourite movie of all time, Adventures in Babysitting, which made me even more fun. At times I did find it to be a little long, boring and drawn out though.
