⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I read this book in one sitting. This is my first time. There wasn't a book that gripped me as much as this one.

If you didn't know, this book follows the story of Eliza Mirk, a high school girl who creates a very successful and famous web comic named Monstrous Sea under the username 'LadyConstellation'. One day Wallace, the biggest Monstrous Sea FanFiction writer moves to her school. They both think they're just both fans of he webcomic, but when Eliza discovers that he's actually 'rainmaker', she freaks out. Time passes and Wallace still doesn't know, but when he does, problems start appearing.

1. Realistic representation of what an online content creator has to go through. No lies. You can be the best and have literally millions of followers, you are still going to go through problems every now and then.

2. Eliza is relatable and realistic. Let's be real. Most readers read because we want to get rid of people and we are introverts. And another way introverts cope with their non-social skill: the Internet. It is a great place, and that's what Eliza does. It's amazing how Eliza has no friends offline, but a lot online. As she said, it is great because you have time to think about what you say.

3. Wallace is realistic, too. If you have social anxiety (as me) you know that the author of this book did a great job in terms of creating the character and its actions, like instead of talking to someone (Eliza) right away, he passes notes and talks through them, and so he does when there are people around. I might try this trick myself to be honest xD

4. The parents. I wanted this review to be spoiler-free, so I'll keep it simple. They obviously worry so much that she's on the computer all day long. And you know THAT part. That's also very interesting. Kind of made me cry.

5. The writing style is very fast paced and very easy to read. Do I have to say more?

6. The text messages are exactly how you would see a teenager write.

The only problems I can think of are these:

1. Parents, again. Okay, how the heck didn't they know that the web comic was so popular. Everyone knew about the popularity, but the only people who are actually supposed to know. Even her teacher knew about it.

2. I didn't care about the comic parts. You know, those parts where they put sketches and explain the story of the webcomic. Yeah, I didn't care about it. I actually skipped those parts because they didn't apportion anything into the story.

Despite the minor problems, I would give this beautiful book to every single person in the world to read it. It's simply amazing.

I feel like I didn’t really enjoy this book as much as I would have if I were not on a reading slump at the moment. This is a great kids book, but again, nothing much happens, like as those inside of that genre. I have tried everything to get rid of my slump but I feel like every time it gets worse and worse.
