The characters do a lot of things that dont make sense. They are a bit hot and cold and they are quite unrelatable. It seems like the actions in a scene are already planned but the characters no matter what their personality and state or mind is, is forced to be crammed into it.

I didnt know how the characters felt about each other with their loaded history or how things were. There was always a disconnect.

The writting was great. It hit home with a few themes. It was really engaging and the characters struggles were well portrayed.

I started with the audiobook. It was hard to follow. I got my hands on the ebook. I just dont think I am a fan of how it is written. The story has good bones and some very one dimensional characters. Feels very, juvenile.

Notes at 30%
The confession just felt flat. I still dont know what Eden is thinking. Characters should show complexities by now but they don't.

Notes after 50%
It does improve as we get a bit more insight into the characters thinking but its barely written about.

Notes after finishing the book.

I wanted to read the crazy rich asian series, but I am going to hold off. The mother is too much for me. The characters felt very flat. I expected so much more out of this book. I got a better sense and  descriptions on the luxuries the character was surrounded with than the characters personalities.  The ending was very predictable as well but I don't mind that.

The dialogue felt stilted, cut and dry. All the dialogue or moments that could have happened was either never mentioned or glossed over. Like when after the two main leads reunite after the mothers interferences, there was half sentence to say they discussed  the mother and their seperation. But there will be pages and pages of art description.

It really was not my cup of tea.

Story was fun. The ghost was the highlight of the story. It was a bit convoluted but it was entertaining enough to finish.

I enjoyed the continuation of this series. I felt it did get a bit repetitive with the main characters inner monologue. I am looking forward tothe next book of the series.

I really like everything. Minus the insta love obsession from the main male character. I felt like it was a bit much at times.

The book is entertaining enough to finish. Written well enough. I have personally never read a book where the main character is made aware that they are all their own worst trope. Its refreshing and also exasperating as they can't seem to help themselves be their own nightmare.

Love the final book of the series. It did have a summary of the 3rd book but I wish i had access to a summary of the first and second. I had forgotten a lot of the characters. I hope the author continues with the other characters in the book to branch off in another series in the same universe.

I dnf'ed the book when it first came out in November. I started with the Audiobook which I thought was going to be better than the first but really was not.

Then the graphic audio version for part 1 came out and I was hooked.

I did finish reading the other half of the book via an ebook.

I like the overall plot but I have a hard time understanding and following the main characters thought process at times. Even the main male character. But I guess we can chalk it up to them being both so young. But overall I was entertained. This is the second book that ends in a major cliffhanger.
