I struggled to engage with this book because I just don’t think the writing is that good. I value the content of the pieces but I value writing as well, trauma and stories don’t really sustain a whole memoir. There are a few essays I liked but most of them fell flat for me or just pointless.

At first I was digging it bc I’m a Fleabag girlie, but at the end I just wanted both of them to either stop talking forever or GET TOGETHER but I just really did not enjoy the last 1/3 of the book.

Everyone knows I’m a big Sally Rooney girlie. This is my least favorite of her novels, yet one of my favorite books in the year.

Though I feel it fell a bit repetitive at times, the overall feeling is kind of weirding me out. This is definitely different from her previous work, but so familiar at the same time.

Very ambiguous work (in the best way possible), can’t wait to see what comes next.

Not even my weirdest most grotesque fiction book has made feel as uncomfortable as this book. 💀💀💀
