I beta read this, and then again as an ARC. It's so humbling to see your suggestions and edits being incorporated into the final edit, and I am so grateful to have been a small part of this journey.
This book is a Gothic romance addicts dream. Mysterious estate (or is it a castle), waging storms, two artists who are tormented by their pasts and the suggestion of paranormal influences. What's not to love?
I bawled my eyes out the first time I read this, and even though I knew it was coming, I sobbed again on the second read. The journey these two go on to get their HEA is strewn with betrayal, broken boundaries and mental health, but getting to the end, you see the love and feel the hope for them to have their future together, loving each other because of their flaws, instead of despite them.
Thea crafts beautifully complex characters, and I cannot wait to read what she creates next.

ARC review, 4.5 stars
I signed on to ARC this book because I've loved Saxon's books for a while. I admit I went into this fairly blind, except for the character art. Based on previous writing, I expected this to be a comedy but was pleasantly surprised to find something less laugh out loud, and more of a romantic drama.
The enemies to lovers in this book was excellent. Often, you don't get true hatred, but gosh this one delivered in spades. Watching these two broken men learn to rebuild their trust in others, and themselves, gives me the absolute warm fuzzies.
The world of Wilde's End is full of interesting characters and I can't wait to explore the rest of them!
