God I wanted to like this book, but I skimmed the last 40% of the book.
The two characters have zero chemistry and I struggled so hard with the plot. The writing and dialogue felt really disjointed in parts and some of the phrasing used wasn't grammatically correct.
Also, there's a line where a side characters refers to someone as a herpes-riddled penis, and it irked me no end. Phrases like this seem innocuous, but continue to push the stigma that herpes (and all STI's) are dirty and inherently bad.
I understand this is the authors first attempt at dark romance, but I don't think they pulled it off.

The ADHD rep in this book made me feel so seen, and I highlighted a number of quotes that hit me in my core.
This book was spicy and sweet and the relationship between Eve and Cole was perfect.
