If I wanted to read this much violent, graphic fatphobia, I’d just read Ottessa Moshfegh. There were parts of this book that I enjoyed and Williams is clearly a tremendously talented writer but the constantly repeated hatred for fat and disabled characters was unbelievably disappointing.
