This was my second book in the romance genre. The first one was Fault in our stars and I couldn't quite enjoy it. But, this is the first book where I cared to read the acknowledgement. That's how deep I got into the story and the life of the writer. The complete story is under a female narration named Lily. Her life in her childhood, her adult life and how well they are related is shown quite well.
Usually most of the love stories in movies happen to be tragedies. But this one is a total different. This book has its issues in the story yet they are interesting. They are not something about which the reader would cry. The situations in the story are very realistic and how the characters deal with them is reasonable.
The decisions made by the characters have a lot of depth and reasoning. They just don't make them out of thin air. Their past or their childhood plays an extensive role. That's what I like in a novel. Things happening now or the decisions being taken need to have a reasoning. That's when the story makes sense.
I hope I read much better love stories ahead. But this one stays with me for long and I have learnt a lot from this book.

Happy reading

This book is information. Information everybody has to know. Mahabharata is an ithihasa. It's the way of life. This book retells Mahabharata in an illustrated manner. It shows to us how the scene happens through art.
It's short. It's for people who can't read the whole Mahabharata. It consists of all the important stories (I solely think) and teaches all the important values.
It's obviously intresting because every story you read in the world is definitely in it has some part taken from Mahabharata. You feel complete after you finish this book. It has the perfect end and has the perfect reason for the story to happen.
The retelling is wonderful. I did not read the original Mahabharata. But this one did not disappoint me in any way.
