”his beauty had been to him but a mask, his youth but a mockery; what was youth at best?”

When I fist picked out this book, I tried reading it. But I couldn’t, the words were too complex and too much of a classic for my liking, it wasn’t until this year that I decided to give it a go.

And I did not regret it in the slightest. It has the most beautiful writing I have ever read in my life, the storyline and the way it’s not dull or boring in the slightest, surprises me, as It personally changed my perspective on classics.

But the characters, and the end conclusion is my favorite part of it all, I perhaps have not seen an ending as amazing and tragic than how it was.

Absolutely loved it, more so becoming of my favorite books. Incredibly literary and beautiful.

I had high hopes for this one, truly, everyone was talking about it, and if I’m being honest. The whole saga really Interested me. I’m so extremely disappointed that I did not truly enjoyed this book as much as I wanted to.

At first it’s extremely interesting and intriguing, a definite page turner which I loved, but then, at the middle, it became extremely repetitive and slightly boring.

(Honorary mention: all of the characters had no actual personality)

And then the end bro, the actual conclusion as to why he left her ALL HIS FORTUNE, is so stupid and disappointing. Like, no one has a brain in this book.

this story is death, a man trapped in the forest consumed by hypothermia, resulting his unfortunate fate. Whilst he saw his own parents, as death guided him through the other world. Its so beautifully done, the metaphors are so so deep and profound that made me feel like I was the one in the book. Truly very special.

”Forgive me for all the things I did, but mostly for the ones I did not.”

No, I seriously, can't describe how mesmerizing and beautiful this book is.

It is a literary work so well written and so interesting that it makes you cry, the complexities of the characters, the aesthetic and all the drama that circulates around them is stunningly impressive.

The amount of quotes and different interpretations that exist, and how much they affected me personally, is something no book had ever done for me.

it changed the way I read (and wrote) literature. A lot of people hype it up for its 'aesthetic, but for me the real allure of this novel is its philosophy. Reading it felt like someone had held a mirror up to my soul: I saw my deepest fears, my greatest desires. And it's guaranteed to gut you like a fish.

The best book I've read this year, I really doubt I doubt very much if I'm going to read something this year that I like more than this, it fascinated me to the core. Je adore.

”It is invariably saddening to look through new eyes at things upon which you have expended your own powers of adjustment.”

To be honest, I wasn’t necessarily delighted by this book. I enjoy the books where nothing really happens, but for some odd reason, i just found this dull and boring at most times.

The ending is somewhat pretentious in my opinion, but I did enjoy the aesthetic and the good phrases this book had.

It’s alright, though it’s not really for me.

”tell your father i said at the very least, the two of them owe me a song. Love. Mom.”

I think it just fucking destroyed me, the roller coaster of emotions this book had on me was insane.

The characters, the aesthetic, the quotes, and the rock n roll, are way to well written, it made me deeply care for everything in this book.

Although it’s obviously not perfect, I found a lot of characters very annoying and shitty, characters I think I am not supposed to feel that way. But there’s also the opposite, characters I relayed and loved throughout everything so so much.

I looove this book, and yes, it is my guilty pleasure. But god, these are the type of teenage books that are worth 100% your time.

Heartbreakingly pretty.

”with an ideal, with the one I see in my dreams. I create entire love stories in my dreams.”

The most beautifully crafted piece of literature I have ever read. Dostoevsky just became one of my favorite authors in history, reading white nights was the best decision of my entire life.

It has absolutely everything that makes it perfect.

Unrequited love, the yearning, the hope. Makes it the best short novel ever made.

Did I already say beautiful?
