I love some good symbolism and the use of chekov's gun! There was unnecessary antisemitism and it was a struggle having learned about Fitzgerald's problematic life (but really, I found that a compelling reason to read the book).

While the book felt repetitive, it carries an important message. Everytime I picked it up, I felt inspired and refreshed. I did end up skipping over most of the poetry, it's not my style. I will definitely be taking some of the challenges in the book with me.
