This is such a powerful book. It gave me a wide spectrum of emotions - laughter, sadness, anger, compassion, humility and continual awareness of the oppressive presence of racism.

I have tremendous respect for what Noah has been through and how remarkably self aware and intelligent he is.

Bring a single Mom myself, this book clarified the degree of positive influence I hope to have for my children. His resilient mother is an inspiration for out smarting the system and setting your children a path to a better life.

Started strong but got rather sordid and predictable from the middle to the end. I found it to be disappointing overall.

Well researched, fascinating and beautifully illustrated.
