This is one of those epic books you can't put down but then feel a sense of loss when it is done. A fascinating and detailed narrative of the main character's life and loves.
Having done a good amount of sewing through my life and grown up around women who sewed even more, I could very much relate to the author's ups and downs with knitting and life in general. This was a well writing and heartfelt book.
