Spice 🌶️

I can honestly say if someone where to tell me what this book is about, unfortunately, I don't even know where to begin or start or even say. This book didn't answer any of our questions from Nightbane. Isla was not a reliable FMC, and honestly the most insufferable FMC I have ever read like literally.

This book basically turned into a "hate-read" (I say this loosely). I was at the point I just needed to know, and even before I started the book, I come to find we HAVE TO WAIT FOR 2 MORE BOOKS FOR THE SERIES TO COMPLETE?! Uhh yea no, not great. I personally didn't feel we got anywhere in the story. And honestly? Too many roundabout dilemmas.

I just think the book had to drag on this long.

I overall understand how Isla feels, with her newfound memories that came back to her and her feelings toward Grim. That's not what I'm complaining about. I'm tired of "miscommunications" trope or "hidden truths" from Isla. She felt "betrayed" yet this mfing is lying to Grim and Oro as well, how is that okay, but for them its not? Just ugh, I was very annoyed and tired of being in her head. Also, I feel bad for Oro. I may not care for the guy, but he doesn't deserve the shit Isla put him through.

Spice 🎁🎁

I have been given an ARC copy from the author, and though my thoughts are honest and true, I give the author the best of luck!

Starting off with the book really strong, I wasn't ready for the side characters to have their mini stories to tell lol. SO that was interesting.

I really hoped for more unhinged spice? It felt a little lackluster, and slightly repeititve. I will say there was a more plot than I thought there was.

Story was overrall good, just wanted more spice. I also don't normally rate the spice level for my cliterature reads, but I felt this needed it.
